  • Publication number: 20240112574
Abstract: A parking enforcement device can be secured to a surface adjacent to the area designated as NO PARKING. The enforcement device can include an elongated hollow body, a window provided to the tubular body, a battery, an internal frame assembly disposed inside of the elongated hollow body, and a camera disposed inside of the elongated hollow body. The internal frame assembly defines a cavity in which the battery is located. A camera support pole extends vertically upwards from the internal frame assembly. The camera is secured to the camera support pole and located vertically along the camera support pole such that the camera views outward through the window. A solar panel can be provided atop the parking enforcement device to recharge the battery.

  • Patent number: 9081254
Abstract: An embedded linear motor drive for an IR camera composing linear motor components that integrates into a sliding shutter is disclosed. The linear motor components can be a linear array of magnets, or a series of ridges or gear teeth. A motor drive is aligned with the linear motor components. The drive can be a series of coils connected to a power source that can move the shutter when the coils are energized in series. The drive can also be a pinion shaft with a friction wheel at one end or pinion gear that can connect to the ridges or gear teeth and move the shutter when the shaft is rotated.

  • Patent number: 5889714
Abstract: A memory controller such as for use with a synchronous dynamic random access memory (SDRAM) wherein an active row at the end of each transfer can either be left active or closed by precharging the row. The memory controller uses a history register to keep track of the results of a number of prior accesses to each memory bank, remembering whether the access was to the same row as an immediately prior access. For each new memory access, the memory controller either asserts or deasserts a precharge enable signal depending on the state of the history bits. As a result, the memory controller is more likely to have a correct row open on a subsequent access, and less likely to have a wrong row open.

  • Patent number: 5524524
Abstract: An integrated spacing and orientation control system is provided for carrying an array of objects and maintaining a predetermined orientation of the objects and a predetermined spacing between objects. In a presently preferred application, the spacing and orientation system carries an array of anti-mine munitions for clearing a path through a minefield. The invention deploys the anti-mine munitions in a downwardly pointed orientation with proper spacing between munitions, even when the array of munitions is deployed using rocket motors.
