    Abstract: A biomedical device having a hydrophilic gradient surface is provided, wherein the hydrophilic gradient surface comprises (a) a first layer having a first contact angle; (b) a second layer having a second contact angle less than the first contact angle of the first layer; and (c) a third layer having a third contact angle less than the first and second contact angles of the first and second layers. A method for increasing hydrophilicity or wettability of a biomedical device having a hydrophilic gradient surface is also provided.

    Abstract: A process for forming a particulate yellow toner for the development of latent electrostatographic latent images comprises: combining dry Pigment Yellow 185 (P.Y. 185) and a first thermoplastic polymer under conditions effective to form a predispersion of P.Y. 185 in the polymer, and combining the predispersion with a second thermoplastic polymer under conditions effective to form a yellow toner composition, from which is formed yellow toner particles.
