Patent number: 7721990Abstract: The field relates to a compartment of an aircraft. The compartment is delimited by a section of the outer wall of the cabin, as well as by two identical foldable partition segments that delimit the compartment from adjacent compartments. So that a compartment passenger's compliance with the requirement to fasten the seat belt may nonetheless be verified during the flight, the partition segments are arranged such that between them access openings to the compartment are created.Type: GrantFiled: July 28, 2006Date of Patent: May 25, 2010Assignee: Airbus Deutschland GmbHInventors: Mark Jaeger, Oliver Doebertin

Publication number: 20070118537Abstract: A system for loading data to a search system configured to process requests and present data meeting criteria specified in the request. A first server is configured to monitor a second server for the availability of a new data set, to request a transfer of the new data set when the second server indicates that the new data set is available, and to store the new data set. A third server is in communication with the first server and is configured to transfer the new data set from the first server and simultaneously store an old data set and the new data set. A fourth server is in communication with the third server and is configured to simultaneously operate a first search process and a second search process. The first search process processes requests searching the old data set and the second search process processes requests searching the new data set.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 26, 2007Publication date: May 24, 2007Inventors: Benjamin Schmitz, Patrick Chauncey, Mark Jaeger

Publication number: 20070056529Abstract: A system for weighing a plurality of quadruped animals is for use in a pen confining the animals. The pen has at least first and second segregated spaces with a first one-way chute allowing animal passage from the second space to the first space. A weighing station is located within a passage having an entrance and an exit, and that allows animal passage from the first area to the second area. The weighing station includes a weighing platform within the passage over which an animal must pass when passing from the first to the second space. The weighing platform has inlet and exit scales that support the weighing platform adjacent to inlet and exit ends thereof, and provides inlet and exit weight signals. A controller receives the inlet and exit weight signals and uses them in an iterative process to determine the presence of a single animal on the weighing platform. Once that determination is made, the sum of the inlet and exit weight values is very likely to accurately provide the animal weight.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 31, 2006Publication date: March 15, 2007Applicant: HERDSTAR, LLCInventors: Robert Baarsch, Mark Jaeger, Thomas Hiniker, Michael Lundgreen

Publication number: 20070000320Abstract: A bin or tank level monitoring system uses a capacitance-sensing device with at least one electrode vertically extending from near the top to near the bottom of the tank. Changes in the level of the material held in the tank causes the effective dielectric constant of the electrical capacitance between the electrode and for example, an adjacent conductive tank wall, to change continuously and proportionately. The change in the dielectric constant changes the actual capacitance between the electrode and the tank wall. Circuitry forming part of the system can measure this change in capacitance and use the measurement to provide an accurate indication of the level of material in the tank. A variety of configurations of the electrode or electrodes allows level detection for both conductive and non-conductive tanks and for different types of materials held in the tanks.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 8, 2006Publication date: January 4, 2007Inventors: Mark Jaeger, Michael Lundgreen

Publication number: 20060206465Abstract: A system for searching a data set to identify data elements with the data set that meet user defined criteria. The system comprises a network file system server, a data search engine server communicating with the network file system server, and a query distributor configured to send search queries to the data search engine server. An old data set and a new data set are stored on the network file system server in a manner such that said data search engine server may selectively access and transfer portions of the old data set and the new data set to a data storage memory of the data search engine server, where the data search engine server identifies data elements within the accessed portions of the old data set and the new data set that meet the user defined search criteria.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 24, 2006Publication date: September 14, 2006Inventors: Benjamin Schmitz, Patrick Chauncey, Mark Jaeger

Publication number: 20060161540Abstract: A system and method for loading a new data and searching data sets to identify data elements with the data set that meet user defined criteria. A notification that new data set is available is received by a first server, the new data set is transferred to the first server, and the first server stores the new data set and an old data. At least a portion of the old data set and the new data set are transferred from the first server to the second server, which is in communication with the first server, which stores the portions of the old data set and new data set. The second server receives user search requests and: (1) processes queries in response to the user search requests by running a first search process using the portion of the old data set prior to receiving a command to switch to the new data set; and (2) processes queries in response to the user search requests by running a second search process using the portion of the new data set after receiving the command to switch to the new data set.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 6, 2006Publication date: July 20, 2006Inventors: Benjamin Schmitz, Patrick Chauncey, Mark Jaeger

Publication number: 20060016899Abstract: A power control system for automatically and proportionately metering power to a heating device used to create a warm microenvironment conducive to the health and growth of an animal during a predetermined incubation period is herein disclosed. The power control system transmits proportionally more power to a heating device where an ambient room temperature measured outside of the microenvironment is nearer a predetermined lower limit, and proportionately less power when the ambient room temperature measured outside of the microenvironment is nearer a predetermined upper limit. A method of providing a heated microenvironment within a larger environment also is disclosed.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 28, 2005Publication date: January 26, 2006Inventors: Mark Jaeger, Thomas Hiniker, Michael Lundgreen
