  • Publication number: 20160087902
Abstract: Implementations of the present disclosure involve an apparatus, device, component, and/or method for a hardware efficient flow to port affinity management table for link aggregation for a network fabric switch with Ethernet Gateway functionality. Rather than maintaining a state per traffic flow list, the present disclosure utilizes a handle or hash value derived from the traffic flow and associates an output port state to the hash value. The output port state for the hash value is further associated with a portlist that is based on at least a traffic flow policy of the server or group of servers associated with the traffic flow. In addition, the management table may be adjusted based on state changes to one or more of the output ports such that, if a port becomes unavailable, the management table may be adjusted to account for the unavailability of the port.

  • Patent number: 9282593
Abstract: An induction heating system comprises inductive rings, which in one example are concentrically wound about a center axis to form a coil array. The inductive rings are situated in the coil array to permit activation of the inductive rings independent of the other inductive rings in the coil array. In one embodiment, the induction heating system includes a control structure with a power supply and switches coupled to each of the inductive rings, wherein activation of the switches permits current from the power supply to flow to the corresponding inductive ring. The induction heating system is amenable to appliances such as ovens and ranges, as well as to cooktops such as free-standing cooktops for countertops.

  • Patent number: 9267881
Abstract: Gas analyzer systems and methods for measuring concentrations of gases and in particular dry mole fraction of components of a gas. The systems and methods allow for rapid measurement of the gas density and/or dry mole fraction of gases for a number of environmental monitoring applications, including high speed flux measurements. A novel coupling design allows for tool-free removal of a cell enclosing a flow path to enable infield cleaning of optical components and to enable re-configuration between open- and closed-path analyzer configurations. In closed path configurations, the sample flow path is thermally isolated from the remainder of the gas analyzer to provide more accurate temperature measurements. Composite plastic/metal sample cells are presented with achieve this thermal isolation without compromising analyzer performance.

  • Publication number: 20150346291
Abstract: SQUIDs may detect local magnetic fields. SQUIDS of varying sizes, and hence sensitivities may detect different magnitudes of magnetic fields. SQUIDs may be oriented to detect magnetic fields in a variety of orientations, for example along an orthogonal reference frame of a chip or wafer. The SQUIDS may be formed or carried on the same chip or wafer as a superconducting processor (e.g., a superconducting quantum processor). Measurement of magnetic fields may permit compensation, for example allowing tuning of a compensation field via a compensation coil and/or a heater to warm select portions of a system. A SQIF may be implemented as a SQUID employing an unconventional grating structure. Successful fabrication of an operable SQIF may be facilitated by incorporating multiple Josephson junctions in series in each arm of the unconventional grating structure.
