  • Patent number: 10907102
Abstract: A system for pyrolysis of a biomass including a furnace and a reactor. The furnace includes a combustion chamber. The furnace configured for generating thermal energy from combustion within the combustion chamber and supplying the thermal energy to at least one operation within a biomass facility. The reactor may include a pyrolysis chamber. The pyrolysis chamber configured to house a preprocessed biomass feedstock therein. The pyrolysis chamber may be positioned at least partially within the combustion chamber of the furnace such that the preprocessed biomass feedstock is pyrolyzed by the thermal energy within the combustion chamber of the furnace.

  • Publication number: 20180007861
Abstract: Provided herein are animal litter compositions comprising wood particles activated carbon, and a clumping agent. The wood particles have a moisture content between 4% and 25%. The composition does not comprise wood particles with a moisture content outside the range of between 4% and 25%. The composition has a density between about 30 lbs./ft3 and about 45 lbs./ft3 and is essentially dust free. These animal litter compositions may be made by contacting wood particles with activated carbon and a clumping agent to form a mixture. The mixture is extruded the mixture into a densified material having a density between about 30 lbs./ft3 and about 45 lbs./ft3. The size of the densified material is reduced to between about 0.5 mm about 2 mm (US Mesh 16-US Mesh 6).

  • Patent number: 9255455
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure also involved a method of processing waste, such as drill cuttings, involving the operations of receiving a waste material comprising a liquid material and a solid material, the waste material received directly from a source wherein the waste material is warm. The source may be a drilling operation and the waste material may be drill cuttings from the drilling operation. The method further involving pumping the warm waste material to a separation mechanism, such as a dryer, that separates a portion of the solid material (e.g., cuttings) from a portion of the liquid material (e.g., drilling fluid). The method may further involve mixing the separated solid material with a bioremediation agent.
