  • Publication number: 20200129001
Abstract: An automated drip beverage maker includes a base having a platform, a vertical arm extending upwardly from the base, and a head extending generally horizontally from an upper end of the arm. The platform includes a heating element electrically connected to a power source. The base further includes a reservoir and a conduit fluidly connected to the reservoir, the conduit being routed adjacent the heating element. The automated drip beverage maker further comprises a brew basket assembly pivotally attached to the head. The brew basket assembly includes a brew basket and the brew basket assembly is movable between a brewing position, in which the brew basket is directly beneath the head and located to receive fluid from the conduit, and an access position, in which the brew basket is pivoted to a position beside the head to enable access to the brew basket. The brew basket assembly further comprises an integrated display panel electrically connected with the heating element.

  • Publication number: 20160255997
Abstract: A jack receiver for a kitchen cooking appliance includes a bracket mounted to the appliance. The bracket includes an aperture for receiving a thermometer therethrough. A jack socket for receiving and engaging a portion of the thermometer therein projects from the bracket aperture to an opposing side of the chamber's wall from the jack receiver, and is in operative communication with the appliance's controller. A cover is pivotably attached to the bracket and a biasing member exerts a biasing force onto the cover to bias the cover into a position covering the bracket aperture. The cover is pivotable against the biasing force of the biasing member, uncovering the bracket aperture, for insertion of the thermometer. Removal of the thermometer from the jack receiver permits automatic pivotable return of the cover to the covering position under the biasing force of the biasing member.

  • Patent number: 8895095
Abstract: A beverage maker is disclosed with a removable filter carrier, a receiver for the removable filter carrier, and a locking mechanism to selectively secure and seal the carrier to the beverage maker by way of lifting the carrier to engage a sealing surface. In use, the filter carrier is linearly inserted into the receiver via a front face of the beverage maker. The receiver may also include the locking mechanism. The locking mechanism includes a lever that is actuated to operate the locking mechanism. Actuation of the lever is translated to lift and clamp the filter carrier against the seal surface. In the ‘sealed’ position, the lever is selectively fixed in place until the user actuates the lever so as to release the filter carrier. In the ‘released’ position, the filter carrier is still supported by the locking mechanism but it may be selectively removed from the receiver.

  • Publication number: 20140246418
Abstract: A toaster oven comprises a housing, an opening defined in the housing, and a door. The housing comprises an upper panel, a bottom panel, and opposing side panels together defining a food cavity. The door is movably affixed to the housing and selectively movable between a closed position closing off the opening thereby blocking access to the food cavity and an open position enabling access to the food cavity. The door has a front panel and opposing side panels. A portion of a front edge of at least one side panel of the housing is recessed back from the front panel of the door when the door is in the closed position. The recessed portion of the front edge of at least one side panel of the housing is enclosed by the corresponding side panel of the door when the door is in the closed position.

  • Patent number: 8381942
Abstract: A cooking vessel for cooking foodstuff includes a base that has an outer sidewall, a generally hollow interior and a generally open top. A lid is removably mounted to the base and complementarily covers the open top of the base in a first position. The lid includes a handle that extends outwardly from the lid away from the base in the first position. A lid holder is rotatably mounted to the outer sidewall of the base. The lid holder engages with the handle to support the lid in a second position. The open top of the base at least partially exposes the hollow interior when the lid is in the second position. The lid holder is rotatable between a support position and a storage position. The lid holder extends partially above the open top of the base in the support position and is entirely below the open top in the storage position.
