Abstract: The invention relates to overhead console projector lamp optics, and more particularly, optics for an overhead console projector lamp for the interior of a vehicle. An overhead console projector lamp for the interior of a vehicle can include at least one projector lamp set, a light source, and a reflector. The projector lamp set includes at least one projector lamp that includes a converging lens. The overhead console projector lamp can be configured to produce a narrow beam of light that can be focused on an object in the interior of the vehicle.

Abstract: A positioning system for coupling a module to a rail member on an interior portion of a vehicle is disclosed and includes a rail with a flange member having positioning openings. The module includes at least one projection configured to engage the openings when the module is attached to the rail system so that movement of the module in a direction parallel to the rail system is substantially prevented. A positioning system is also disclosed for limiting movement of a module attached to a rail system within a vehicle interior during changes in vehicle speed or direction. The module includes at least one brake member coupled to the module and configured to coact with a rail so that movement of the module relative to the rail causes the brake member to frictionally engage the rail to substantially limit movement of the module along the rail.

Abstract: An overhead rail system for a vehicle interior includes an elongated rail configured to extend at least partially along a headliner panel within the vehicle interior. A longitudinal opening extends at least partially along a length of the rail. An article has a housing and a movable panel. The movable panel is configured to provide access to an object. A holder is coupled to the article and has a catch configured to coact with the opening in the rail, so that the article is mountable to the rail proximate the headliner panel for use by occupants within the vehicle interior.
