  • Patent number: 11456057
Abstract: One embodiment provides for a method including determining, by at least one processor, sequence-sequence distances for a biological sequence collection. The at least one processor generates a matrix Mij of the sequence-sequence distances, where i and j are positive integers. The at least one processor further generates clusters for the matrix Mij by performing hierarchical clustering. A self-consistent taxonomy is created from the clusters. A visual heat map display of the matrix Mij is selectively controlled using metadata, zoom input and opacity input.

  • Publication number: 20220261574
Abstract: Characteristics of a user's movement are evaluated based on performance of activities by a user within a field of view of a camera. Video data representing performance of a series of movements by the user is acquired by the camera. Pose data is determined based on the video data, the pose data representing positions of the user's body while performing the movements. The pose data is compared to a set of existing videos that correspond to known errors to identify errors performed by the user. The errors may be used to generate scores for various characteristics of the user's movement. Based on the errors, exercises or other activities to improve the movement of the user may be determined and included in an output presented to the user.

  • Publication number: 20220230218
Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods relate to presenting for selection, services comprising at least one bundled set of healthcare services to be performed separately by respective providers, determining a bundle price for the at least one bundled set of healthcare services and in response to receiving payment in an amount of the bundle price, generating a persistent purchase data record with a unique confirmation number that is selectively redeemable by the user to receive each of the healthcare services in the bundled set. The bundle price may be discounted and/or based on the location or time at which at least one service will be performed. The bundle price may also be based on the user's remaining health insurance deductible. A single payment may be disbursed to multiple providers of the bundled set of healthcare services. The received and/or disbursed payment may be in virtual funds.

  • Patent number: 11170423
Abstract: Apparatus and associated methods related to determining medical services appropriate to a patient in response to a patient lifecycle event: presenting the medical services to the patient for selection; optionally scheduling the selected medical services; and automatically presenting the selected services for prepayment. The patient lifecycle event may be, for example, a doctor's order, diagnosis, condition change, payment, admission, or discharge. The services presented to the patient may be determined in response to, and as a function of, the lifecycle event. For example, the services presented may include procedures determined after the lifecycle event, in view of patient medical history. In an illustrative example, the services presented may be based on medical indication, contraindication, provider or facility availability, or patient scheduling preference, advantageously permitting more medically relevant, beneficial, convenient, or cost-effective services.

  • Patent number: 8762413
Abstract: A computer system for generating a user data store and analyzing the user data store comprises a memory and a processing circuit. The memory is configured to store a user data store comprising a plurality of graphs, each graph having a user identity node. The processing circuit is configured to, for each of the plurality of graphs: receive asset data representing an asset that a user has interacted with on a website; generate a first node representing the asset data and a first link coupling the first node to the user identity node of the graph; store the first node and first link as part of the graph; receive usage data representing user interaction with a website; generate a second node representing the usage data and a second link coupling the second node to the user identity node of the graph, wherein at least one of the first node and second node further represents opinion data for a product or evaluation data for a product; and store the second node and second link as part of the graph.

  • Patent number: 8166038
Abstract: A technique enables intelligent retrieval of digital assets. The technique involves gathering metadata based on a scan of the digital assets. The gathered metadata includes metadata entries, each metadata entry identifying a particular digital asset and a particular set of digital asset properties of that particular digital asset. The technique further involves storing the digital assets in encrypted form within a digital asset repository of the electronic system after gathering the metadata, and updating a metadata database of the electronic system based on the metadata entries, the metadata database being distinct from the digital asset repository. Accordingly, while the digital assets are stored in the digital asset repository in encrypted form, specific digital assets within the digital asset repository are identifiable in response to a database search of the metadata database since the database search is able to use digital asset properties as searching criteria.
