Abstract: A fly trap configured to contact a window surface includes a frame and a cover. The frame includes a top surface and a bottom surface. A portion of the bottom surface is configured to contact the window surface, and the frame defines an interior and an ingress for permitting flies to enter the interior from a side of the frame. The cover includes an adhesive fly capture surface configured to face the window surface and attach the cover to the top surface of the frame. The cover enclosing the interior at the top surface of the frame.

Abstract: A power transmitter for wireless power transfer includes a control and communications unit configured to provide power control signals to control a power level of a power signal configured for transmission to a power receiver and including a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal generator for determining and selecting the operating frequency from the operating frequency range. The power transmitter further includes an inverter circuit configured to receive a direct current (DC) power and convert the input power to a power signal, coil configured to transmit the power signal to a power receiver, the coil formed of wound Litz wire and including at least one layer, the coil defining, at least, a top face, and a shielding comprising a ferrite core and defining a cavity, the cavity configured such that the ferrite core substantially surrounds all but the top face of the coil.

Abstract: A hydration monitoring system for the collection of data about fluid consumption and hydration levels of athletes during training or practice sessions. The system may also measure and analyze carbohydrate consumption. The system utilizes a hydration bottle containing a fluid and to measures the amount of fluid consumed in a given time interval and wirelessly transmit the measurements; and a scale configured to measure the weight of an athlete and wirelessly transmit the measurements. The system further utilizes a data communications hub configured to receive data comprising the measurements from the hydration bottle and scale and forward the data to a computer; and a computer configured to receive the data from the hub for analysis. The computer analyzes the data and calculates whether the athlete should consume more or less fluid and/or more or less carbohydrates.

Abstract: Multiple independent spectral measurements of light reflected from a target are produced concurrently by illuminating the target with a train of laser pulses wherein the train of pulses produces a line spectrum within the illuminating signal. A characteristic dimension of the receiving aperture is established based on illuminating wavelength, a cross-sectional dimension of illuminated region of a target, and the range between a target and the receiving aperture or image plane. The characteristic dimension corresponds to the spacing of peaks in a speckle pattern of an image plane. The use of multiple receiving telescopes having the characteristic dimension allows for independent measurements concurrently by each of the receiving telescopes. The train of illuminating pulses is generated by mode-locked operation of the laser for synchronization of sinusoidal components at line frequencies of the pulse train spectrum, and wherein the spacing of the spectral lines is at least a decorrelation frequency.
