  • Publication number: 20060082097
Abstract: A riding toy converts between a traditional or conventional upright trike configuration and a low slung chopper configuration. A front frame tube is joined to a head tube to which the front wheel and handlebars are piviotally attached. A rear frame tube is joined to a pair of rear wheels. The front and rear frame tubes are joined by a pivot shaft so that they rotate relative to one another. As a result, the rear portion of the riding toy may be flipped over to reconfigure the riding toy between the trike and chopper configurations. An opening is formed in the front frame tube and receives spring-loaded buttons that turn with the rear frame tube so that the riding toy may be locked in the desired configuration. The front frame tube is also split and features a clamp so that it can clamp down on a guide sleeve that is attached to the rear frame tube.

  • Publication number: 20040240967
Abstract: A binding element that may he readily molded, and utilized to bind a range of sizes and thicknesses of stacks of sheets. The elements are molded in a flat sheets with elongated fingers extending from an elongated spine either as individual binding elements, or as an extended length that is then cut to size during an automated assembly process. The elongated fingers are inserted into the prepunched openings in the stack of sheets. The free ends of the fingers are then coupled to the spine, shortening the closed finger loop to an appropriate length for the thickness of the stack of sheets. The excess finger is cut from the finding element and discarded. The actual process steps may be performed in various orders, either sequentially or simultaneously.

  • Patent number: 6258266
Abstract: A water filter device mountable on a faucet facilitates water flow in substantially one linear direction through a filtering cartridge which comprises activated carbon or charcoal material. The water filtration device includes a valve assembly for selectively operating the filtering device for generating filtered or unfiltered water. The filtering device preferably includes a disc shaped filtering housing having a disc shaped filtering block of activated carbon material therein for filtering water. The present invention simplifies the flow path of water from the inlet through the filtering cartridge and provides for a more compact and lower profile filtering device which saves space in the sink associated with the water filtration device. It also provides for little or no pressure differential for flow through the filter.
