  • Patent number: 11980363
Abstract: A surgical stapling assembly is disclosed. The assembly can include a cartridge body having cavities defined therein forming a pattern of openings in the deck of the cartridge body. The pattern can include longitudinally-repeating clusters of cavity ends. The assembly can also include fasteners removably positioned in the cavities. The pattern of openings can comprise openings on a first side of the cartridge body comprising inner openings each defining an inner proximal-to-distal axis oriented parallel to the longitudinal axis, outer openings each defining an outer proximal-to-distal axis obliquely-oriented relative to the longitudinal axis at an outer angle, and intermediate openings each defining an intermediate proximal-to-distal axis obliquely-oriented relative to the longitudinal axis at an intermediate angle, wherein the intermediate angle is different than the outer angle.

  • Patent number: 9370170
Abstract: A system includes sensors for transmitting data on a low power and/or short range transmission link, and one or more coordinators in wireless communication with the sensors. The coordinators convert signals received via the low power and/or short range transmission link to a longer range transmission link. A base station is in wireless communication with the coordinators via the longer range transmission link so that data generated by the sensors is transferred to the base station via the coordinators.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 29, 2012
Date of Patent: June 21, 2016
    Assignee: ILLINOIS TOOL WORKS INC.
Inventors: Mark L. Downing, Robert L. Pliml, Steven S. Spelbring, Nathan W. Johnson, Kimberly A. Cannon, Daniel Dina

  • Patent number: 8602798
Abstract: A saddle clamp which incorporates internal electrical bonding elements adapted to maintain electrical contact with a clamped tube structure without transferring structural load between the tube and the electrical bonding components. The saddle clamp includes an inner tube contacting surface having at least one surface groove. At least one electrical contact element extends between portions of the inner tube contacting surface. The electrical contact element includes tube contact segment disposed in opposing relation to a portion of the surface groove. The electrical contact element is electrically connected to the mounting bracket to transmit electrical charge from the tube.
