  • Patent number: 11172683
Abstract: Methods for controlling the growth of microorganisms in or on a product, material, or medium, such as a fermentable or fermenting medium, susceptible to attack by a microorganism, by treating with aqueous solution comprising monochloramine and at least one organic acid in a synergistically microbicidally effective combined amount to control unwanted microbial growth. Microbicidal aqueous solutions containing monochloramine and at least one organic acid in a synergistically microbicidally effective combined amount to control the growth of at least one microorganism are also described.

  • Publication number: 20190292608
Abstract: Methods to quantify bioburden present in industrial substances are provided that utilize a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and detection of amplification signals over multiple PCR thermal cycles. The PCR targets a segment of DNA found in one or more biofouling agents that are often found in industrial substances. A sample taken from the substance can be used directly or first filtered, purified, lysed, diluted, or subjected to a combination of such pretreatments. The substance is used in, or is tested for preparedness to be used in, industrial applications and sites, such as non-pharmaceutical applications, non-medical applications, papermaking facilities, leather-treating facilities, and the like. Methods are provided to control or treat substances or systems utilizing such substances, or to control or treat surfaces intended to come into contact with the substances.

  • Publication number: 20160242148
Abstract: Technology for a wireless intercom system is disclosed. A system comprises an intercom device comprising a digital processor, one or more speakers and one or more microphones. The digital processor is configured to receive audio from the one or more microphones and convert the audio to audio data. A communication module operating at the intercom device is configured to communicate the audio data to a remote server via an intercom wireless local area network (WLAN). A routing module, operating at the remote server, is configured to route the audio data communicated from the intercom device to one or more multi-radio access technology (m-RAT) devices via one or more of an m-RAT WLAN or an m-RAT wireless wide area network (WWAN).
