Abstract: Platform independent and non-invasive financial report mark-up. The invention provides an enterprise-scale, non-invasive report mark-up system that gives substantially non-invasive approach to applications, processes and existing databases of the legacy system environment. The invention is operable to allow transition from the legacy system environment using one currency to another currency such as to the EURO over time. The invention allows for a number of operations without manual restatement, reconciliation or use of parallel systems; it also provides for access to timely information and electronic reporting of financial documents with substantial cost savings, thereby meeting the rapid response requirements necessitated by the continued emergence of e-commerce activities.
