Patent number: 10821552Abstract: A modular laser processing enclosure includes an enclosure housing defining a laser processing area. The enclosure housing includes a top defining a top laser processing access opening providing access to the laser processing area and at least two sides defining side laser processing access openings providing access to the laser processing area. The side laser processing access openings may be located proximate the top of the enclosure housing. The enclosure may further include at least one plate configured to cover any one of the laser processing access openings. Optionally, at least one laser processing head may be configured to be mounted to any one of the laser processing access openings and/or a least one part handling mechanism may be provided to access the laser processing area through any one of the laser processing access openings for delivering parts to and/or from the laser processing area.Type: GrantFiled: November 3, 2016Date of Patent: November 3, 2020Assignee: IPG PHOTONICS CORPORATIONInventors: Joseph Dallarosa, Benjamin Amar, Mark Labbe

Patent number: 6886181Abstract: A plurality of metallic telephone lines carrying both baseband POTS (plain old telephone service) and DSL (digital subscriber line) or ADSL (asymmetric digital subscriber line) signals originate at customer premises and pass through a common field cabinet enroute to a telephone central office. Baseband POTS signals flow in an undisturbed manner through the field cabinet and maintain the normal, highly reliable, communication between the subscriber premises and the central office telephone switch. At the field cabinet, DSL/ADSL signals are removed from the metallic telephone line and are then communicated between the field cabinet and the central office using fiber optic broadband transmission. Fiber optic transmission increases the allowed distance between the ADSL transceiver located at the customer location and the respective ADSL transceiver located in the telephone central office.Type: GrantFiled: July 7, 2000Date of Patent: April 26, 2005Assignee: Critical Telecom Corp.Inventors: David E. Dodds, Oliver Cruder, Mark Labbe

Publication number: 20030086561Abstract: The present invention provides a digital subscriber line (XDSL) splitter module that is installable in a telephony field wiring cabinet. Normally, the telephony field cabinet contains a jumper wire interface that is used to interconnect telephone trunk cables with telephone distribution cables. The splitter module operates on signals found on the wire pair extending to a customer premise and it contains a filter circuit to split the POTS and XDSL onto separate wire pairs. The separated XDSL signals can be carried on fiber optic or other high bandwidth media for the purpose of extending the transmission range. The separated POTS signals are directly carried on telephone trunk cables which provide voice service with well-known high reliability.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 31, 2002Publication date: May 8, 2003Inventors: Bryce McLean, Mark Labbe
