  • Patent number: 11235843
Abstract: An isolator performance data logging system comprising a displacement unit for measuring a displacement of the isolator. the displacement unit comprises a displacement sensor housing fixable relative to a mitigated end of the isolator, a target fixable relative to an unmitigated end of the isolator. A displacement sensor is located within the displacement sensor housing for measuring a displacement of the target relative to the displacement sensor. A first accelerometer unit is fixable relative to the mitigated end of the isolator. A second accelerometer unit is fixable relative to the unmitigated end of the isolator.

  • Patent number: 11166561
Abstract: A locking positioning pin assembly comprising a shaft extending between opposing first and second ends, a nut threadably engaged with the shaft and rotatable to thread along the shaft between a closed position relatively closer to the first end of the shaft and an open position relatively closer to the second end of the shaft, a knob having a plunger, the knob rotatable about the shaft to cause rotation of the nut. When the nut is in the open position, the knob is translatable to allow the plunger to move between a disengaged position and an engaged position. When the nut is in the closed position, the plunger is in an engaged position and is prevented from translating relative to the nut and the shaft due to abutment of the knob with one or more features of the nut.

  • Patent number: 10632876
Abstract: A suspension pedestal may be employed with a vehicle seat (e.g. a boat seat). The suspension pedestal comprises a piston partially received within a base, and an isolator to mitigate relative movement between the base and piston. A flange extends circumferentially around the base, and is releasably fixable to the base at any point between the ends of the base.

  • Publication number: 20120151821
Abstract: This invention relates to traps for flying insects, and in particular, relates to a self-supporting and re-usable trap for wasps, yellowjackets and flies. A trap for insects comprising a bag having a first generally flat collapsed configuration for storage and a second expanded configuration for operation thereby forming an internal chamber for trapping insects. The bag includes a first side wall and a second opposite the side wall and at least one entry portal for insects, said first circular entry portal penetrating said first side wall and communicating with the chamber. The trap can include a suitable attractant for attracting insects to the entry portal.

  • Patent number: 6491637
Abstract: An apparatus for ultrasound scanning of the eye is provided comprising a virtual center translocation mechanism that facilitates precise arcuate motion of an ultrasonic transducer to maintain focal distance from the eye and to maintain normality of the ultrasound beam with surfaces of the eye. The invention also provides a radius adjust mechanism for changing the radius of ultrasound scanning to facilitate positioning of the transducer focal point on selected surfaces of the eye. Centration optics are also provided, for aligning the ultrasound transducer with the Purkinje (or other optical or geometric) axis of a patient's eye.

  • Publication number: 20020169460
Abstract: The invention provides a head support apparatus. The apparatus may for example be used for ophthalmic examination. In some embodiments, the apparatus may allow six degrees of freedom of motion during initial positioning of a patient's head, and may then be locked to hold the patient's head in place precisely. The head support mechanism may include three shafts connecting an upper frame to a structure. Each shaft may be provided with a ball-and-socket joint at one end and a lockable bearing assembly on the other end. The lockable bearing assembly may provide a combination of sliding and pivotal movement. A biasing assembly may be provided to support each shaft, and to return each shaft to a self-centered and fully lifted rest position. A head clamping apparatus is also disclosed comprising pivoting clamping arms and an adjustable chin rest.
