Publication number: 20080155479Abstract: The system provides an application builder and an application player. The application builder is used to intuitively generate interactive software applications and can be operated by one or more subject matter experts with or without programming experience. By providing a natural framework for software generation, the system provides greater accessibility to those who can most benefit from the creation of an interactive software. The application player is designed to interface easily with the application builder so that a functional product can be quickly used. The application builder is accessed through interfaces defining a Data Model, a Presentation, and Navigation (or WorkFlow).Type: ApplicationFiled: February 8, 2007Publication date: June 26, 2008Inventors: Mark Long, Paul Dimitruk, Christian Maas, Mark Auburn

Publication number: 20070185986Abstract: A system (2) for measuring and recording user data in a communications network and associating the user data with demographic data of the user, the user being able to access a user computer processing means (6) having browser means (18). The system comprises data processing means (4) for receiving from the browser means a measurement record after the user accesses a part of the network having a portion of measurement code embedded therein. The data processing means determines from the received measurement record whether a survey identified by a survey identifier has been presented to the user. The system further comprises first electronic storage means (12) for receiving survey response data of the user and the measurement record of the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 29, 2004Publication date: August 9, 2007Inventors: John Griffin, Mark Long

Publication number: 20070144843Abstract: An MR-fluid (magnetorheological-fluid) hydraulic mount includes a hydraulic-mount partition plate assembly and an electric coil. The partition plate assembly has a longitudinal axis, has first and second sides, and has an MR-fluid through orifice extending substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis from the first side to the second side. The partition plate assembly is devoid of any non-MR-hydraulic-fluid orifice. The electric coil is substantially coaxially aligned with the longitudinal axis and is adapted to magnetically influence the MR-fluid through orifice. The MR-fluid through orifice is positioned radially outward of the electric coil.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 27, 2005Publication date: June 28, 2007Inventors: Mark Bodie, Mark Long

Publication number: 20070040352Abstract: The invention relates to a load carrying vehicle of the type that has a body forming a load carrying compartment (16) above a load deck (17), and where the load carrying compartment (16) is of the side loading type. The vehicle has a load carrying structure located in its load carrying compartment, the load carrying structure including a platform support structure that is located along the length of the load carrying compartment (16) along the centre line of the load deck (17). The platform support structure includes support formations that provide for the support of load platforms (42) of the load carrying structure, on which loads can be supported, at different levels above the two side halves of the load deck. The mode of support permits easy manual adjustment of the level of individual load platforms above the load deck.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 19, 2004Publication date: February 22, 2007Inventor: Mark Long

Publication number: 20050230890Abstract: A magnetorheological-fluid hydraulic mount includes a hydraulic-mount partition plate assembly, a hydraulic-mount decoupler, an electric coil, and a flexible membrane assembly. The partition plate assembly has first and second sides, has a non-magnetorheological-fluid first orifice, and has a magnetorheological-fluid second orifice. The first orifice has a first terminus positioned at the first side and a second terminus positioned at the second side. The second orifice has a first end positioned at the first side and has a second end positioned at the second side. The hydraulic-mount decoupler is operatively connected to the first orifice. The electric coil is disposed to magnetically influence the second orifice.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 16, 2004Publication date: October 20, 2005Inventors: Sanjiv Tewani, Mark Bodie, Jamieson Kiefer, Mark Long, John Walterbusch

Publication number: 20050071373Abstract: A computer reservation system matches vehicle ratings using a central database. Vehicle information and rental equipment information are stored in the central database. A user specifies a vehicle description including make, model, and year of the vehicle on a website. The central database is searched based on the vehicle description to find related vehicle information including physical characteristics of the vehicle. The rental equipment in the central database is identified which is compatible with the vehicle as determined by a comparison of the rental equipment information to the vehicle information. The physical characteristics of the vehicle are compared to physical characteristics of the rental equipment to determine compatibility between the vehicle and the rental equipment. The compatible rental equipment is displayed on the website for the user.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 29, 2003Publication date: March 31, 2005Inventor: Mark Long

Publication number: 20050035509Abstract: A powertrain mount comprises an orifice plate including two tracks, a control track and an isolation track. The control track is spirally formed within the orifice plate, which has an exit and entrance on either side of the plate. The control track provides damping to control damping from engine bounce; whereas, the isolation track controllably provides dynamic rate dip. The isolation track is formed between an alignment plate and rotatable track member, each having an exit and entrance, respectively. The rotatable track member and the alignment plate are sealingly engaged and affixed to a decoupler and an annular area disposed about the orifice plate of the powertrain mount. The exit of the alignment plate is adjacent the decoupler. The rotatable track member forms a cavity with the molded body of the powertrain mount, with the entrance exposed to fluid within the cavity for controlling and minimizing vibrations within the powertrain.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 14, 2004Publication date: February 17, 2005Inventors: Mark Bodie, Mark Long, Sanjiv Tewani

Publication number: 20050029720Abstract: A hydraulic mount having first and second fluid tracks, and a decoupler finctioning as an air spring with two remotely selectable settings. The settings allow tailoring of the air spring characteristics to provide mount damping for differing engine operating states, such as engine idle. A solenoid is used to select a smaller or larger air volume to control the characteristics of the air spring and, in turn, the dynamic response of the hydraulic mount. An integral controller provides switched operation of the solenoid and compensates for variations in temperature and input voltage, as well as minimizing electrical noise generated by the solenoid when it is energized.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 7, 2003Publication date: February 10, 2005Inventors: Mark Bodie, Mark Long, Sanjiv Tewani, Ronald Beer, Bruce Heaston, Brandon Fedders
