  • Publication number: 20210106349
Abstract: A holder for mounting a hand tool to a surface has a suction cup positionable upon a surface. A yoke is connected to a central area of the suction cup, and is movable in a vertical direction relative to the surface, to distort the suction cup to secure the suction cup and yoke to the surface. A frame includes a cradle shaped to receive and support the hand tool, and a base. An extension connects the base and the cradle. A cam pin is movable within the frame, and has a cam profile that slides along the cam engagement surface of the yoke to displace the yoke along a vertical axis to increase or decrease the pressure between the suction cup and the surface.

  • Patent number: 10695508
Abstract: An instrument is applied to body tissue of a body part to produce vibration to thereby reduce pain of injection or other pain producing stimulus. The device has a frame, and a source of vibration connected to the frame. A removable tip is connectable to the frame which has a distal end that is connected to the source of vibration when the tip is connected to the frame, to thereby vibrate the distal end when the source of vibration is activated. At the distal end of the tip are mutually facing arms which define an opening between them. Each arm forms a projection which extends at an angle from the arm. The projections are shaped to fit the body part so that the arms and projections are sized and dimensioned to position, retain, and transmit vibration to the body part in a position proximate the opening.

  • Publication number: 20170021113
Abstract: An instrument is described for minimizing pain during administration by injection of a liquid, such as, an anesthetic. The instrument includes a main body having a rod mounted freely for vibration and a single use tip removably mounted on the forward end of the main body by a first type of motion and removable by a second and different type of motion. The tip is held on the instrument by an elastic overmold. A vibration unit imparts vibrations to the tip. Demounting of the single use tip will rupture the overmold and render the single use unfit for further use. A method of operating the instrument is described and a single use tip is described.

  • Publication number: 20160317759
Abstract: A device vibrates body tissue to reduce pain experience by the body tissue in a therapeutic procedure. The device includes a frame and a tip connectable to the frame which can be activated to produce vibration. An electromagnetic reader is connected to the frame and includes an antenna for sending and receiving electromagnetic radiation. An electromagnetic tag is connected to the removable tip, and also has an antenna for sending and receiving electromagnetic radiation in communication with the electromagnetic reader antenna. The antennas are disposed proximate to each other when the removable tip is connected to the frame, whereby the electromagnetic tag can transmit information to the electromagnetic reader.
