The system may enable users to share calendars with other users within the collaborative environment so that a meeting organizer can schedule a meeting at a time when all or most of the users are available. The system may collect availability information from the users' individual calendars and may aggregate the availability information in a master calendar, which may display the aggregated availability information for the group of users in a scheduling grid. Scheduling grid timeslots may display the aggregate availability information for the group of users and may graphically indicate when all users are available and when one or more users are unavailable during a timeslot. The aggregate availability information may enable the meeting organizer to quickly determine an available time for scheduling a meeting.

The improved window assembly includes at least one fixed sub-assembly and at least one sliding sub-assembly supported by a frame. The fixed sub-assembly has a sash, and removable fasteners extend through the peripheral edge of the sash into the interior side of the frame so that the fixed sub-assembly can be independently disassembled from the interior of the vehicle without removing the frame or the clamp ring. The sliding sub-assembly is removably secured to the frame by an improved multi-piece guide track and slide pin assembly that allows removal of the sliding sub-assembly without removing the frame. The slide pins are removably secured to opposite sides of the sliding sub-assembly.

The query is sent to a database, which returns a playlist of media. The returned playlist is provided to a media center, which retrieves and provides the listed media to a user.

Man hours, tooling, and costs associated with flush window assembly and repairs are reduced as a result. The fixed sub-assembly has a sash, and removable fasteners extend through the peripheral edge of the sash into the interior side of the frame. The sliding sub-assembly is removably secured to the frame by an improved multi-piece guide track and slide pin assembly. The slide pins are removably secured to opposite sides of the sliding sub-assembly. A lock nut or coil spring provides a means for adjusting the slide pin so that the sliding sub-assembly assumes an optimal flush fit with the frame and the fixed sub-assembly.

Abstract: A system and method are provided for combining an instant messaging experience with a primary media experience in a multimedia system. The method includes providing an instant messaging user interface component and displaying the instant messaging user interface component as an overlay on a screen displaying the primary media experience simultaneously with the primary media experience. The displayed instant messaging user interface component occupies a non-central portion of a screen displaying the primary media experience such that both the primary media experience and the instant messaging user interface component are visible to the user. The user interface instant messaging component may include a conversation window having a text entry section and a conversation. The instant messaging user interface enables user access with a remote control device.

Abstract: A method and system are provided for facilitating editing of a captured photograph using a set of user interface photo interaction tools. The method includes receiving a user selection of an editing function, which may be a cropping function, through the user interface photo interaction tools. The method additionally includes determining an optimal edited photograph based on the input editing function and presenting the edited photograph on the user interface in order to allow user interaction with the edited photograph through the user interface photo interaction tools. The user interface may receive commands through a remote control device.

Abstract: A new user interface, a distance user interface, in a computer system for operating a computer from a television-viewing distance is provided. A centralized display is provided enabling a user to access streaming video and sound as well as music files, video files, and picture files from a single screen. Collaborative sharing of media content is provided by enabling a computer's operations and feedback to be collectively observed from a distance.

Abstract: A method of forming a slotted substrate that includes patterning a thin film over a substrate so that at least a portion of the substrate within a slot region is not covered by the thin film. In addition, a slot is formed in the substrate through the slot region that extends through the substrate and the thin film, wherein a chip count in a shelf surrounding the slot is minimized when the slot is formed in the substrate through the thin film in the slot region.
