  • Publication number: 20090182745
Abstract: Systems and methods for creating, managing, and displaying online content channel dialogue—particularly weblog debates—are provided. Online content channels do not presently show ways for users to pull content together and publish comments out to the content for the purpose of developing a robust debate or dialogue. The present invention enables the end-user to randomly select multiple content channels and initiate such dialogue between them. End-user comments may be simultaneously published to all content channels, and such comments may have logical metadata attached to allow the end-user to pull together all content within a debate into a logical framework.

  • Publication number: 20090100046
Abstract: Systems and methods for aggregating, processing, and displaying historical data—including actions and ideas—are provided. Based on a singular endpoint event or range of endpoint events, a plurality of historical threads both forward and backward looking in time are computed and displayed to the user via an interface in a manner that can assist the user in determining the relative importance of events along a thread. Event objects are created from data aggregated from cameras, global positioning software, social networking sites, direct user input, news feeds, and other sources. Connections between the objects are based on historical attributes including actors, descriptions, places, and time.

  • Publication number: 20070226195
Abstract: When search results are returned to an Internet user, the user is limited in next steps to analyze the displayed content. While advanced search options allow the user to search again, these options again return a set of results that are largely independent from each other apart from common words or phrases requested in the query. Some search engines return the results into further categories relating to the search terms themselves, but again the results are linked only by the taxonomy defined in the search query or between the results themselves. The present invention provides two means for providing the user new analytical tools after a search result is returned. First, the user passes all or a subset of the initial search results through a logical relationships taxonomy. The set of terms in this taxonomy is independent of the actual search terms; instead, the taxonomy terms are pre-defined and reflect logical structure instead of a topical taxonomy.
