  • Patent number: 10642966
Abstract: User authentication is facilitated. A plurality of images on one or more display levels is presented to a user in random order. A password is received from the user, and the password includes a set of images selected from the plurality of images and an indication of a particular sequence of the images in the set of images. A determination is made as to whether the password matches a predefined password, and access is provided based on determining there is a match of the password and the predefined password.

  • Publication number: 20200120086
Abstract: According to aspects of the present disclosure, a computer-implemented method includes generating, by a host processing system, a single use authentication map to map a private set of characters to a public set of characters. The method further includes transmitting, by the host processing system, the single use authentication map to a user processing system that presents an authentication interface comprising the public set of characters to enable a user to enter a user passcode using the public set of characters. The user processing system encodes the user passcode into a single use passcode using the single use authentication map. The method further includes the host processing system receiving the single use passcode from the user processing system, decoding the single use passcode back the user passcode using the single use authentication map, and determining whether the user passcode matches an expected passcode.

  • Publication number: 20200042678
Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes receiving an indication of a first selected instrument, where the first selected instrument is selected from a plurality of instruments. One or more first sequences of notes are received. One or more saved sound compositions are generated based on the first selected instrument and the one or more first sequences of notes. One or more current sound compositions are compared to the one or more saved sound compositions using sound analysis. A user is authenticated based on a similarity between the one or more current sound compositions and the one or more saved sound composition.

  • Publication number: 20190165430
Abstract: An apparatus is provided for detecting one of multiple possible abnormal conditions associated with a flexible, pouch-type energy storage device of an electronic device. The apparatus includes a stiffener, a pressure sensor and a control component. The stiffener overlies a main surface of the storage device. The pressure sensor is disposed between the stiffener and an inner surface of the electronic device to monitor for pressure between the stiffener and the inner surface indicative of an abnormal condition associated with the storage device. The control component is coupled to the pressure sensor and detects the abnormal condition based, at least in part, on the monitored pressure exceeding a specified threshold, and performs and action based thereon. The abnormal condition may include excessive external force being applied to the energy storage device, or excessive internal swelling of the energy storage device during charging, or during use.

  • Publication number: 20070113620
Abstract: Apparatus and method is provided for reliably testing a quality level of bead fusion in molded foam parts. Such apparatus may be portable and hand-held, and the test procedure will not destroy or damage tested products. In a useful embodiment comprising apparatus for monitoring quality of a molded foam part, an insertion device introduces a stream of selected gas under pressure into the interior of the molded foam part. The insertion device may include a thin nozzle to be inserted into the part. Poorly fused beads allow a faster flow rate of the gas than well fused beads, since the poor fusion will provide more openings for the gas to escape. Accordingly, the embodiment includes a sensor for measuring the flow rate of the stream of gas, as the stream is introduced into the part interior.

  • Publication number: 20070114691
Abstract: The aspects of the present invention provides for an apparatus for conveying air into foam so that the flow of air within the foam may be monitored to determine one or more characteristics of the foam. The apparatus includes a nozzle and an adjustable member having a substantially planar surface. The nozzle is configured for operative connection to an air flow meter. The nozzle includes a tube sized and dimensioned to be inserted easily into the foam. The tube has a wall and an aperture formed in the wall. The aperture is sized and dimensioned to allow air to flow through the aperture and into the foam, and the aperture extends partially about the circumference of the tube. The adjustable member is operatively connected to the nozzle. The member adjusts axially to control the depth of insertion into the foam.

  • Publication number: 20060036696
Abstract: A computer program product for managing email communications includes code to incorporate email tags into an email. The email tags uniquely identify the corresponding email and an email family of which the email is a part. A user interface uses the email tags to permit a user to view the email family in a graphical manner illustrating the relationship among emails in the email family. Each email tags may further identify all direct email ancestors, if any, of its corresponding email communication. The user interface facilitates additional management tasks oriented to a family of emails including trimming branches in the email family to reduce redundancy and modifying last generation emails to include all attachments of the email's ancestors. The email tags might include an index portion appended to a base portion where the base portion uniquely identifies the original email and the index portion identifies an email's director ancestry path.
