Abstract: An infant car seat system includes a base including a first pair of brackets and a second pair of brackets; and an infant car seat including a first pair of locking pins positioned and arranged to be locked via the first pair of brackets and a second pair of locking pins positioned and arranged to be locked via the second pair of brackets, the infant car seat further including a release handle configured to allow the user to unlock the first pair of locking pins from the first pair of brackets, after which the user is able to at least partially lift the infant car seat from the base, the at least partial lifting causing the second pair of locking pins to become unlocked from the second pair of brackets.

Abstract: The invention is directed to a child seat comprising: an outer shell supporting an inner shell therein, the inner shell and the outer shell together defining a child protection region within the seat; an adjustment mechanism disposed between the inner shell and the outer shell defining a trajectory of movement for the inner shell relative to the outer shell, wherein relative movement between the inner shell and the outer shell along the trajectory of movement adjusts a size and a shape of the child protection region of the seat.

Abstract: An improved material for use in juvenile products has utility as a canopy covering, for example, a playyard structure or stroller. The improved material substantially blocks visible, infrared, and ultraviolet light from passing through to the child or infant and provides protection from this potentially harmful radiation. Blocking infrared radiation also advantageously prevents heat build up in the juvenile product. The preferred construction includes a fabric layer and a metalized layer to form a lightweight and flexible material.
