  • Patent number: 11773997
Abstract: A valve gate assembly with a eutectic implement configured to degrade in response to a force imparted along a non-parallel load path. The unique architecture employed for various embodiments ensures a non-parallel load path is employed in triggering the shift in position for a valve gate. This enhances the integrity of the eutectic implements such that a wider variety of valve gate assembly dimensions may be utilized. This, in turn, allows for such assemblies to be utilized with larger production line volumes without compromise to safety measures afforded by such safety valves.

  • Publication number: 20230127716
Abstract: A tubing hanger running tool assembly includes a ring extending around a tubing hanger in a wellhead, and having a contracted configuration and an expanded configuration. The ring in the expanded configuration is received into a groove in the wellhead. The assembly includes a sleeve to actuate the ring between the contracted and expanded configurations. The sleeve includes a tubing hanger running tool received through the sleeve and having a lower end that is configured to be received into a first bore of the tubing hanger and to form a connection therewith. The tubing hanger running tool is configured to transmit an axial force to the sleeve in response to the tubing hanger running tool being received into the tubing hanger. The axial force moves the sleeve axially with respect to the ring, which actuates the ring between the contracted and expanded configurations.

  • Publication number: 20230008109
Abstract: A packoff for a wellhead includes a body configured to be positioned in an annulus between the wellhead and an inner tubular above a casing hanger supported in the wellhead, the body including a bore and a lower end, the bore and the lower end being configured to be positioned at least partially around the inner tubular. The lower end is configured to be spaced apart from the casing hanger. The packoff also includes a first load shoulder member configured to be removably connected to the lower end of the body and to engage a surface of the casing hanger so as to form a seal therewith.

  • Patent number: 11293263
Abstract: A technique facilitates rapid transitioning of a valve, e.g. a gate valve. According to an embodiment, a system comprises a valve actuator constructed for coupling with a valve to actuate the valve between closed and open positions. Hydraulic actuation fluid may be supplied to the valve actuator under pressure via a hydraulic supply system to enable selective shifting of the valve actuator, and thus the valve, from a closed position to an open position. The system also comprises a dump tank coupled to the valve actuator in a manner to receive hydraulic fluid. In a rapid valve actuation operation, e.g. closing operation, the dump tank receives hydraulic fluid from the valve actuator rather than returning the hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic supply system. This, in turn, enables rapid shifting of the valve actuator and thus rapid shifting of the valve.

  • Patent number: 7546872
Abstract: An improved liner hanger comprises a mandrel having a piston housing and a plurality of spring slots disposed on the outer wall surface of the mandrel. Each spring slot having at least one spring disposed therein. The liner hanger also has a slip housing having a plurality of slips operatively associated therewith, a spring adjustment sleeve, and an adjustment sleeve ring. The location of the spring slots on the outer wall surface of the mandrel permits an increase in the number of springs utilized for setting the liner hanger. The spring adjustment sleeve and adjustment sleeve ring permit easy and safe assembly and disassembly of the liner hanger. Additionally, when actuated to move from its run-in position to its set position, springs, slip housing, and slips all move upward.
