  • Publication number: 20220341716
Abstract: A method for automatically computing the position and score for each dart on a dartboard using a single image of the dart and dartboard captured from any camera angle. A computing device with at least one connected camera captures an image of a dartboard. The computing device performs various image processing tasks and computes the landing position of each dart present in the image and the positions of multiple dartboard calibration points. The dartboard calibration points are used to compute a transformation matrix that transforms the detected points in the image plane to corresponding points in the dartboard plane. The score of each dart is computed based on the relative positioning of the transformed points in the dartboard plane. The method may be used to perform automatic scorekeeping in a variety of different dart games, either in a single location or in remote locations.

  • Publication number: 20220284895
Abstract: There is described a building automation system for controlling conditions of a room. The building automation system comprises a room device, a first interface, a second interface, and a managing device. The first interface receives a voice command based on a voice utterance detected in the room by the voice enabled system. The second interface (324) receives a hospitality user profile from a hospitality information system. The hospitality user profile identifies one or more user parameters associated with the room. The managing device of the building automation system includes a guest room profile that identifies one or more room parameters associated with the room. The managing device controls the room device based on the voice command, the hospitality user profile, and the guest room profile.

  • Patent number: 10974605
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method of charging an electric vehicle. The method comprises receiving at an electric vehicle, a wireless signal associated with an electric vehicle charging apparatus. Upon receiving the signal the method comprises controlling an actuator to open, in dependence on receiving the wireless signal, an enclosure housing a socket for receiving the charging plug. Embodiments of the invention also provide an enclosure for a charging socket of an electric vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10000131
Abstract: A guidance system for a motor vehicle comprising: a controller, the controller being operable to determine whether a first length of cable is sufficiently long to allow a charging connection to be established between a motor vehicle and a charging station in dependence on data corresponding to a relative position and orientation of the vehicle with respect to the charging station; and output means for providing an output to a user indicating whether the cable is sufficiently long.

  • Publication number: 20110304295
Abstract: A power system is provided, where a load may be powered either by a battery or a source of AC power. The output of the battery (through and inverter) and the source of AC power are both connected to the input of a toggle switch. The output of the toggle switch is connected to the load, such that only one of the battery or the source of AC power is connected to power the load. The battery can be charged from at least one source of renewable energy, and from the output of an AC charger that has, as its input, the source of AC power. The power system has a clock that can be programmed to indicate when a time is peak or off-peak for the source of AC power. The charge level of the battery is monitored by a state of charge monitor.
