Publication number: 20020101459Abstract: There is disclosed a wireless communication device that stores a system GUI configuration file and a downloaded service provider GUI configuration file, each of which contains a text name checksum value that is calculated using the text names of the GUI parameter data stored either the system GUI configuration file or the service provider GUI configuration file. The text name checksum values are based on the text names of the GUI parameter data. After the download operation is complete, a text name checksum comparator program compares the downloaded text name checksum value to the initial text name checksum value in the system GUI configuration file. If the two text name checksum values do not match, the downloaded service provider GUI configuration file is rejected.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 28, 2001Publication date: August 1, 2002Applicant: SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS CO., LTD.Inventors: Sudhindra P. Patent number: 5273605Abstract: An improved system for fabricating convolutely wound tubes includes a supply roll support for supporting a large supply of paperboard, an adhesive applicator for receiving paperboard from the supply roll and applying a coating of adhesive to one side thereof, a cutting station for cutting the paperboard across its length to form sheets of paperboard, and a winding station including a mandrel about which cut sheets of adhesive bearing paperboard are wound into a tubular configuration. As the paperboard is drawn from the supply roll, one of its edges passes sequentially through three corrugating nip rolls, which alternately deform the material of the edge to render it more pliable and flexible. This flexible edge, then, becomes the trailing edge of paperboard sheets that are wound into tubes such that the edge can be easily conformed to the contour of and adhered to the outer surface of the finished tube.Type: GrantFiled: January 30, 1992Date of Patent: December 28, 1993Inventor: Mark Mitchell

Patent number: 4811787Abstract: The invention provides a method for the secondary recovery of oil from an oil-bearing stratum having a zone of high fluid permeability, in which this zone is plugged by introducing into the stratum a gelable solution comprising an alkaline material, a polyphenolic vegetable material such as mimosa tannin extract and formaldehyde, the last compound being present as free formaldehyde, paraformaldehyde, a phenol-formaldehyde resole, hexamethylenetetramine or urea-formaldehyde concentrate. The gelable solution has a pH of at least 9.5 and may optionally include a viscosifier. The gelable solutions are relatively insensitive to brines or temperature and gel to produce mechanically strong gels, even in the presence of oil-wet minerals. If desired, the alkaline material can be an alkali metal carbonate, and the use of such carbonates permits the permeability of the plugged high permeability zone to be adjusted after formation of the gel by treating the gel with acid.Type: GrantFiled: February 8, 1988Date of Patent: March 14, 1989Assignee: Borden Company LimitedInventors: Martin Navratil, Jimmy P.
