  • Publication number: 20100051405
Abstract: A device for rotationally fixing a shaft to a component that is rotatably arranged on the shaft. The actuating element positively engages the components to rotationally fix the components to the shaft. The difference in rotational speeds, between the component and the shaft, can be at least approximately compensated for by the actuating element. The actuating element, for rotationally fixing the component to the shaft by the actuator, is operatively connected to at least one support body, which is rotationally fixed with respect to the shaft in such a manner that the actuating element can act upon the component with an actuating force that depends on the torque to be transmitted from the shaft to the component and which is independent of the actuation of the actuator in the state in which the actuating element can be rotated relative to the shaft.

  • Publication number: 20100043586
Abstract: A device (4) for actuating a component mounted to rotate on a shaft (3), preferably a gearwheel (3A to 3D) made as a loose wheel of a transmission device (1). The component can be shifted by an engaging device (4A, 4B) that includes at least one electric actuator (5, 17) to an engaged condition in which the component is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the shaft (3), and such that the component can be acted upon with the actuation force needed for its engagement or disengagement from inside the shaft (3) outwardly. The electric actuator (5, 17) is at least partially arranged inside the shaft (3).

  • Publication number: 20090301243
Abstract: A device (1) for transmitting torque from a first shaft (2) to a second shaft (3) of a transmission device, in particular a counter shaft transmission. The device (1) has a first gear (5) supported on the first shaft (2) by a bearing device (4) and which, in an assembled state, engages a second gear (6) arranged on the second shaft (3). The first gear (5) can be shifted into an activated state in which the first gear is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the first shaft (2). A supporting mechanism (18) is associated with the first gear (5), next to the bearing device (4), via which tilting moments present and acting on the first gear (5), at least in a connected state, are transmitted to and supported by the first shaft (2).

  • Publication number: 20090301248
Abstract: A device for actuating a gearwheel of a transmission device. The gearwheel rotates on a shaft and can be shifted by way an engagement mechanism that includes at least one actuator that is arranged at least partially inside the shaft. The actuator can be actuated by a pressure medium to fix the gearwheel to the shaft. The actuation force required for engaging or disengaging the gearwheel can come from within the shaft. The actuator is a piston-cylinder unit which is either rotationally fixed to the shaft or rotationally fixed relative the shaft. When the actuator is rotationally fixed relative to the shaft, the active connection between the actuator and the gearwheel, which is to be shifted, includes a drive decoupling unit between the actuator and the shaft.

  • Patent number: 7584908
Abstract: Spray nozzle apparatus and method. The apparatus can include a body, a spray orifice, a filter, and an insert. The body can have a spray outlet portion. The spray outlet portion can terminate in a spherical dome. The spray orifice can be included in the spray outlet portion and positioned before the spherical dome in a flow path. The spray orifice can be substantially V-shaped. The insert can be positioned at least partially in the spray outlet portion and can include an entry shaft having a substantially rectangular cross section and at least one projection.

  • Publication number: 20080271554
Abstract: A device for connecting, in a rotationally fixed manner, a shaft to at least one component which is rotationally supported on the shaft, such as a gear wheel of a gear in a transmission. The device includes an actuating element that is rotationally fixed, but axially slides on the shaft, such that when the element is actuated by an actor, the element actively, frictionally communicates with the component to at least approximately equalize a rotational speed difference, between the component and the shaft. The actuating element can be actuated by the actor with a force to frictionally connect the component to the shaft in a rotationally fixed manner. The device further includes a holding device, which retains the actuating element in a shift condition essentially equivalent to the rotationally fixed condition of the component without further actuation of the actor.

  • Publication number: 20080087240
Abstract: In order to create a variable mechanical valve control for an internal combustion engine having, in particular, an underhead camshaft for adjusting a valve stroke and an opening and closing time, making it possible to achieve a very compact transmission gear between the push rod drive and the intake and exhaust valves, to reduce the number of components required for the transmission gear, and, in addition, to obtain a mechanical, completely variable valve train with an underhead camshaft, it is proposed that an intermediate lever (7) be linked to a tappet push rod (4) by means of an axle (8) in such a way that a slide gate roller (6), which is rotatably mounted on the axle (8) and driven by the camshaft (1), is moved in a slide gate (9), whereby a first contact surface (10) on the intermediate lever (7) is supported in a reinforced manner by means of a spring (5) on an eccentric shaft (11) or on a second contact surface (12) and a lever (16) can be displaced over an operating curve (13), by means of which the
