Abstract: A picture mounting has: a web having a display panel which has a display surface on its front face, the display panel having a perimeter defined by a frame having a plurality of spars; each spar being made of leaves created from the web and extending from the perimeter of the display panel, each of the leaves being folded at least twice, in a rearward direction to create a spar having a polygonal cross-section; each spar having an adhesive region located on a surface of one of the leaves and by means of which a picture is adhered to the respective spar; the spars being mutually interlocking thereby to retain the spars adjacent the rear surface of the display surface and thereby to create the frame.

Abstract: A framing system is disclosed to receive an item to be displayed. The system may include a fixing device, a rear support having a substantially planar surface, and one or more fixing elements. The rear support may include an aperture that is configured to receive a fixing device at least partially therethrough. The fixing element may be configured for engagement with a respective fixing device, wherein an item to be displayed is held in place relative to the rear support under magnetic force between a fixing device and fixing element. A method for the non-destructive mounting of an item to be displayed using such a framing system is also disclosed.

The support may mount to the display plate to form a sleeve in spaced relation to the display plate and to receive the item to be displayed.

Abstract: A mounting system for receiving a display item for display, comprising a display item receiving surface for receiving an item to be displayed, a release layer arranged on the receiving surface including first and second adjacent foldable portions arranged in a first configuration, and an adhesive layer interposed between the receiving surface and the release layer, wherein, when arranged in a second configuration, the first and second portions expose a first region of the adhesive layer and define a mounting support for the display item.
