    Abstract: A clutch for a vacuum sweeper includes a driver member and a clutch disk engaged with the driver member. The clutch disk has a drive portion. An axially biasing member is disposed between the driver member and the clutch disk. A shaft extends past the axial biasing member and through the driver member and clutch disk. A plurality of balls are positioned about the shaft. Each ball is disposed in a radially extending groove in the drive portion. The clutch also includes a driven member having a driven disk. The driven disk is positioned adjacent the plurality of balls and engaged with the drive portion.

The housing has a cavity for receiving a portion of the filter bag and a lock that interconnects with the key. A method for installing the filter bag in a vacuum sweeper is also provided.

    Abstract: A floor sweeper is disclosed having a removable debris compartment. The compartment has a front portion that is at least partially open. A pair of counter-rotating brushes are located forward of the debris compartment for delivering debris directly through the front portion into the debris compartment. A cover that strips debris from the brushes and that also directs stripped debris extends over the brushes. The cover has an air spoiler forward of the brushes. A strip for blocking debris is located opposite of the cover and is located substantially entirely the length of and between the brushes.

    Abstract: A chemical distribution system for a floor cleaning machine is described. The system utilizes at least one container that is selectively connected to a pump that pumps a cleaning chemical solution from the container into a tee for combining with a fluid from an onboard fluid tank at a rate determined by a machine operator. Chemical containers may be readily and interchangeably connected to the pump to permit various solutions to be selectively utilized to optimize floor cleaning.

    Abstract: A floor burnisher has a base portion with a rotatable pad. A lower portion of a handle post is pivotally connected to the base portion. A lower portion of a spring rod assembly is pivotally connected to the base portion and an upper portion of the spring rod assembly is connected to an upper portion of the handle post. The pressure at which the pad contacts a floor surface may be selectively adjusted. The handle post may be pivoted about the base portion so that a spring within the assembly is compressed. The force from the compressed spring is communicated to the base portion to pivot the base portion with respect to a floor surface.
