  • Patent number: 9471119
Abstract: An automated secure record management system and method that receives a plurality of digitally signed records subsequent to a resetting of a running counter. In response to each received digitally signed record, the automated secure record management system and method increments the running counter. Further, upon receiving an accumulation record, automated secure record management system and method compares a value of the running counter and a signature record number of the accumulation record, such that a notification is generated whenever the comparison detects that the value of the running counter is not equal to the signature record number.

  • Patent number: 9389851
Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for providing consistency between software library repositories. The system can be used to ensure that a repository of compile-time libraries is consistent with a target run-time or execution environment. Each of a plurality of libraries in an execution environment can be associated with a location file or metadata including coordinates for the library and a relative path to a library artifact. The system can use the metadata to populate or synchronize a particular library repository, for example a software developer's compile-time library, with libraries or artifacts associated with the metadata, from the execution environment. The populated or synchronized repository can subsequently be used by a user of a software build automation tool at compile time.

  • Patent number: 9391942
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure relate to processing email having symbolic variables in the address. Aspects include receiving, by an email server, an email comprising an email address for an intended recipient and determining whether the email address includes a symbolic variable. Based on determining that the email address includes the symbolic variable, the symbolic variable from the email address are extracted, an email address for an additional recipient by querying a database based on the symbolic variable is identified, and the email is transmitted to the email address of the intended recipient and the email address of the additional recipient. Based on determining that the email address does not include the symbolic variable, the email is transmitted to the email address of the intended recipient.

  • Patent number: 9323517
Abstract: A system and method for dynamic modification of service definition packages for use with a cloud computing environment. In accordance with an embodiment, a cloud platform enables provisioning of enterprise software applications (e.g., Fusion Middleware applications) within a cloud environment. In an embodiment, enterprise applications can be packaged as service definition packages (SDP). To support maintenance of services (e.g., bug fixes, security updates, and configuration changes), a service's characteristics and requirements can be modified dynamically, by reconfiguring the cloud platform itself and/or by mounting a disk volume that corresponds to the service's SDP, and modifying its contents directly.

  • Patent number: 9251688
Abstract: An attachment detection method and system. The method includes receiving, by a computer processor of a computing system, attachment data describing different devices associated with and attachable to an electro/mechanical apparatus. The computer processor retrieves first data describing a first attachment device currently attached to the electro/mechanical apparatus and analyzes the attachment data with respect to the first data. In response to the analysis, the computer processor determines specified protective gear required for operation of the electro/mechanical apparatus and the first attachment device. The computer processor generates indication data specifying required usage of the specified protective gear and presents the indication data to a user.

  • Publication number: 20150378323
Abstract: An intelligent switching method and system. The method includes retrieving by a computer processor of an intelligent switching device, detection data indicating that an individual is located within a specified proximity of an apparatus. The intelligent switching device is lockably attached to the apparatus. The computer processor receives a request from an individual for enabling the apparatus. The computer processor determines that the individual is in compliance with safety procedures associated with operating the apparatus and generates an enable signal. The enable signal enables a power signal for the apparatus. The computer processor indicates that the apparatus has been enabled and is operational.

  • Patent number: 9201145
Abstract: A system and method of for performing an action at a device is disclosed. A first signal is sent into a first zone from a first light source, wherein the first signal identifies the first zone. The first signal is received at the device when the device is in the zone. The device determines from the received first signal that the device is in the first zone and performs the action at the device based on the device being in the first zone. A second variable light source may send a second signal into a second zone, wherein the second signal identifies the second zone. Triangulation may be performed to determine a location of the device using the first signal and the second signal. Alternately, a parameter of motion of the device may be determined using the received messages.

  • Publication number: 20150314363
Abstract: A method of forming a vehicle body structure includes pre-welding a patch blank to a base blank with a series of resistance spot welds to form a pre-welded blank assembly. After pre-welding, the pre-welded blank assembly is deformed into the vehicle body structure. The deformation of the pre-welded blank assembly is carried out by a suitable metalworking process, such as stamping, and results in concurrent deformation of the base blank and the patch blank. Following deformation of the pre-welded blank assembly, additional weld joints may optionally be formed between the base blank and the patch blank, wherever desired, to better secure the blanks together.

  • Patent number: 9149607
Abstract: A deflectable sheath for use in medical procedures in the vasculature is described. The sheath includes a handle supporting the sheath. Two pull wires run along opposite sides of the sheath to anchors at the deflectable distal end. The handle includes a rotatable member that moves a threaded slider block in a back and forth translational manner. As that translational movement occurs, force is applied to either one or the other of the pull wires to cause deflection of distal end of the sheath in either and upwardly or a downwardly direction with respect to the longitudinal axis of the sheath.

  • Patent number: 9091903
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention include a camera having two modes: a visible light imaging mode (day-mode) and an IR imaging mode (night-mode). In the visible light imaging mode, an IR filter is in line with the lens assembly. In the IR imaging mode, the IR filter is mechanically removed, and IR light is allowed to pass to the sensor. In one embodiment, in the IR imaging mode, IR lighting is provided by an IR LEDs on the camera to illuminate the scene. In one embodiment, the various components are chosen, balanced and optimized so that images captured using visible light and images captured using non-visible light are both in focus. In one embodiment, an algorithm determines when there sufficient visible light is present and when it is not, and thus determines when to switch the camera from one mode to another.
