  • Publication number: 20200271000
Abstract: A method of manufacturing a gas turbine engine component and said resulting component configuration are disclosed. The method includes providing a ceramic structure including a sacrificial ceramic core. The ceramic structure is inserted into a casting mold. A component material is introduced into the casting mold. The ceramic structure is removed after the component material has solidified to define a casted component having a cooling cavity of a heat exchanger segment formed in the wall structure of the component. The ceramic body of the sacrificial ceramic core defines a plurality of apertures and includes a trailing first pin and a leading first pin. The trailing first pin and the leading first pin are extended away from an inner surface of the body, and the leading first pin is spaced from the trailing first pin and in closer proximity to a leading edge of the body than the trailing first pin.

  • Publication number: 20200255364
Abstract: A process for producing acetic acid is disclosed in which the methyl iodide concentration is maintained in the vapor product stream formed in a flashing step. The methyl iodide concentration in the vapor product stream ranges from 24 to less than 36 wt. % methyl iodide, based on the weight of the vapor product stream. In addition, the acetaldehyde concentration is maintained within the range from 0.005 to 1 wt. % in the vapor product stream. The vapor product stream is distilled in a first column to obtain an acetic acid product stream comprising acetic acid and up to 300 wppm hydrogen iodide and/or from 0.1 to 6 wt. % methyl iodide and an overhead stream comprising methyl iodide, water and methyl acetate.

Abstract: A glass has a basic soda-lime-silica glass portion, and a colorant portion including total iron as Fe2O3 in the range of greater than zero to 0.10 weight percent, e.g. selected from the group of total iron as Fe2O3 in the range of greater than zero to 0.02 weight percent and total iron as Fe2O3 in the range of greater than 0.02 weight percent to less than 0.10 weight percent; redox ratio in the range of 0.2 to 0.6, and tin and/or tin compounds, e.g. SnO2 greater than 0.000 to 5.0 weight percent. In one embodiment of the invention, the glass has a tin side and an opposite air side, wherein the tin side of the glass is supported on a molten tin bath during forming of the glass. The tin concentration at the tin side of the glass is greater than, less than, or equal to the tin concentration in “body portion” of the glass. The “body portion” of the glass extending from the air side of the glass toward the tin side and terminating short of the tin side of the glass.

  • Patent number: 10716407
Abstract: The present invention is a bed warming device that safely and effectively warms the interior space between the fitted sheet and the top sheet of a bed. The bed warming device includes a heating element similar to those used in hair dryers. The device includes a suction member that suctions ambient air to be heated and delivers it through a narrowing portion that increases the pressure of the heated air. The pressurized, heated air is then expelled to preselected locations of the bed using a plurality of openings located throughout the perimeter of the device's T-shaped hot air delivery assembly. The hot air delivery assembly can include raised portions configured to create a space between the openings and the top bed sheet, thereby maintaining efficient air flow.

  • Patent number: 10715337
Abstract: A conductor on glass security layer may be located within a printed circuit board (PCB) of a crypto adapter card or within a daughter card upon the crypto adapter card. The conductor on glass security layer includes a glass dielectric layer that remains intact in the absence of point force loading and shatters when a point load punctures or otherwise contacts the glass dielectric layer. The conductor on glass security layer also includes a conductive security trace upon the glass dielectric layer. A physical access attempt shatters a majority of the glass dielectric layer, which in turn fractures the security trace. A monitoring circuit that monitors the resistance of the conductive security trace detects the resultant open circuit or change in security trace resistance and initiates a tamper signal that which may be received by one or more computer system devices to respond to the unauthorized attempt of physical access.
