    Abstract: A retrofittable reinforcing tubular sleeve that is operable to reinforce a variety of long-handled implements. The sleeve is slid over the free end of the handle and toward the implement head to establish a snug fit between the wall of the sleeve bore and the neck of the implement head. A reinforcing spine extends lengthwise along the exterior of the sleeve. The sleeve is positioned on the handle such that the spine extends adjacent the aft side of the implement handle.
