  • Patent number: 9942344
Abstract: Certain examples described herein relate to configuring a call control context in a media gateway. The media gateway has a set of digital signal processors, each having one or more digital signal processor cores. The cores implement digital signal processor channels that are grouped into digital signal processor contexts. When a request to configure a call control context is received, certain examples described herein are configured to assign a set of digital signal processor contexts to process data streams associated with the call control context. In particular, certain examples described herein couple a first digital signal processor context to at least a second digital signal processor context using at least one digital signal processor channel in each of the first and second digital signal processor contexts.

  • Patent number: 9602569
Abstract: Telecommunications equipment may require network connectivity. On newer systems, an additional local management interface is provided for proprietary maintenance functions, typically via a shell-based Command Line Interface. This is not available on remote sites with only TDM connections. The invention provides a method of communicating between a management console and remote access equipment via a class 4 telecommunications switch, which comprises establishing an IP connection, establishing a synchronous telecommunications transport connection between the class 5 switch and the remote access equipment, setting up a voice call between the management console and the remote access equipment, passing the voice call over the IP connection as a VOIP call, passing the voice call over the synchronous telecommunications transport connection as a PCM encoded call, and encapsulating an IP data stream in the VOIP and PCM encoded call to establish an end-to-end IP.

  • Patent number: 9483279
Abstract: Aspects of the present invention include a method of deploying user assistance information. The method includes providing access to a container storing a plurality of context domain declarations (CDDs), creating a new CDD, wherein the new CDD specifies an associated user assistance repository (UAR), creating pattern information which identifies an application or application state for which the associated UAR is applicable, deploying the new CDD independently from the application and the associated UAR, and distributing the new CDD to one or more users.

  • Publication number: 20140226653
Abstract: Existing telecommunications equipment may require network connectivity for data transfer but may have no external interfaces except for the TDM voice circuits to which they are connected. Thus on most newer systems, an additional local management interface is provided for proprietary maintenance functions. This is typically accessed via a shell-based Command Line Interface. This cannot be used on a remote site with only TDM connections.

  • Patent number: 8527468
Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of a system and method for establishing and managing document retention policy in a distributed computing environment. One embodiment comprises the steps of loading documents into a database as individual components or items; establishing a custodian for each document instance; categorizing its content into a plurality of categories; assigning retention periods to the content by category; and continuously monitoring retention policies according to the assigned retention periods. Any database capable of storing de-duplicated data can be adapted to implement embodiments of the invention. One embodiment utilizes codified algorithms to cross-match one or more retention policies with each document instance in the system based on the role of the custodian held at the time the instance was created and retained and/or the content or category of the content to which the document refers. If multiple policies apply, the retention period is set to the furthest in the future.

  • Publication number: 20070091137
Abstract: A method of calibrating a printing apparatus comprising: providing a printing apparatus with a mobile printhead, the printhead being mobile along a scanning direction, the printhead comprising a plurality of nozzles; providing a media; printing a first pattern on the media while scanning the media with the printhead at a first scanning velocity; printing a second pattern on the media while scanning the media with the printhead at a second velocity, the absolute value of the second velocity differing from the absolute value of the first velocity; comparing the printed patterns to each other by optical means; setting the printhead scanning velocity for printing in relation to the velocity associated with the pattern having the best definition.

  • Publication number: 20050156976
Abstract: A method of an embodiment of the invention is disclosed that determines calibration factors for a fluid-ejection mechanism that is capable of ejecting differently colored fluids onto media. The energy used to eject fluid for each of at least one of the fluid colors is adjusted based on the calibration factors, so that fluid drop ejections of the fluid colors yield fluid drop masses having a consistent ratio.

  • Patent number: 5574832
Abstract: Techniques are disclosed for depleting raster data to allow printing of the depleted raster data on a grid that corresponds to the resolution of the undepleted raster data with a printed dot size that is larger that would otherwise be utilized with the undepleted raster data and to achieve faster ink dry time. Also disclosed is a technique for up scaling raster data at a particular resolution (e.g., 300 dpi) to a higher resolution in such a manner that expanded data includes a greater number of dot producing pixels to compensate for a dot size that is larger than the dot size that is appropriate for the higher resolution, and does not require horizontal depletion for printing with such dot size. This allows raster data at a particular resolution to be combined with higher resolution rasterized vector data for printing in accordance with the enhanced mode of operation.
