  • Patent number: 10199722
Abstract: A radome structure of an antenna system is provided having a plurality of switchable antenna elements disposed around a perimeter of the radome structure that can simultaneously track multiple targets and be implemented in a variety of different applications. Each of the switchable antenna elements can be individually switched between different radiation patterns to support different applications. The antenna system may include an infrared (IR) sensor pedestal, an IR sensor disposed on the IR pedestal and a plurality of switchable radio frequency (RF) antenna elements disposed in a circumferential direction around the IR sensor pedestal. In an embodiment, each of the plurality of switchable RF antenna elements can be switched from a first radiation pattern to a second radiation pattern to change an array radiation pattern of the antenna.

  • Publication number: 20180292084
Abstract: A method of evaporation comprises cooling a prime mover using a coolant. The cooling comprising pumping the coolant from the prime mover through a heat exchanger and back to the prime mover in a cooling circuit. A process fluid is circulated in an evaporator loop comprising the heat exchanger and a flash tank, the process fluid being circulated from the flash tank, through the heat exchanger and to a flash nozzle positioned in the flash tank. A pressure of the process fluid is reduced across the flash nozzle from a first pressure upstream of the flash nozzle to a second pressure in the flash tank, wherein heat from the coolant provides sufficient thermal energy to the process fluid in the heat exchanger so that a percentage of the process fluid changes phase from liquid to steam when the pressure of the process fluid is reduced across the flash nozzle. Steam is ejected from the flash tank to separate the steam from the process fluid.

  • Publication number: 20180225155
Abstract: A workload optimization system includes a workload manager subsystem that provides a plurality of workloads that each generates a jobs, an agent infrastructure subsystem that includes a first container host hosting a first container having a first agent and that processes jobs generated by at least one of the plurality of workloads, and a workload resource optimization subsystem that monitors a job queue of jobs that were generated by the plurality of workloads and that are to be processed by the first container. The workload resource optimization subsystem then determines whether the job queue satisfies a container generation condition. If so, the workload resource optimization subsystem provides instructions to the first container host to generate a second container that includes a second agent. The workload resource optimization subsystem monitors container host utilization to provide instructions to activate a second container host to provide a third container having a third agent.
