    Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method of preparing a conjugated antibody agent, and conjugated antibody agent obtained thereby. The method includes:(i) attaching a substantially pure antigen to a solid phase;(ii) passing an antibody containing composition over the solid phase such that the antibody is caused to bind to the attached antigen by immunoreaction to form a bound antigen-antibody complex;(iii) passing a reactive conjugating agent over the bound antigen-antibody complex to conjugate the conjugating agent to said complex; to(iv) removing the resultant conjugated antibody from the solid phase.

    Abstract: Aerosol droplet dimensions are important when aerosols are used as delivery means for such as labelled antibodies. Droplets from an aerosol containing solvent and solute are deposited onto a surface, which surface permits the droplet to maintain its surface tension, and subjected to rapid freeze drying. The solvent is vaporized while the solute forms a crystal lattice, which is treated and subjected to analysis which permits an estimate of the original droplet dimensions.

    Abstract: Epithelial lung tumors are known to produce specific biological substances such as hormones. Radiolabelled antibodies to such substances are prepared and ventilated by a subject. Deposition of the radiolabelled antibodies occurs in the respiratory air passages and with controlled particle size and inhalation particularly in the tracheo-bronchial tree.The antibodies react antigenically with the biological substances, becoming localized at the tumor sites. Concentrations of radiolabelled antibodies may be detected using ratio detection means such as a gamma camera.
