  • Patent number: 11375997
Abstract: A surgical suture apparatus for passing a double-ended surgical needle forwards and backwards includes a main body, a first jaw element and a second jaw element, each including a holding device to hold a needle-end of the surgical needle. The first jaw element and second jaw element are movable with respect to each other between a take-over position, where a surgical needle can be passed between the first holding device and the second holding device, and an open position. The surgical apparatus further includes an operating device to operate the first holding device and the second holding device to alternately hold the first needle-end by the first holding device and the second needle-end by the second holding device, where the first jaw element is detachably mounted on the main body.

  • Patent number: 11219450
Abstract: A surgical suture apparatus for passing a double-ended surgical needle forwards and backwards includes a first and second jaw element, and an operating device to operate a first holding device in the first jaw element and a second holding device in the second jaw element to alternately hold a first needle-end by the first holding device and a second needle-end by the second holding device. The first jaw element and second jaw element are movable with respect to each other between a take-over position and an open position. The operating device includes a switch device movable between a first operating position, in which a needle is held by the first holding device, and a second operating position, in which the needle is held by the second holding device, and an activation device configured to move the switch device between the first operating position and the second operating position. The activation device includes a spring and a release device.

  • Publication number: 20210236118
Abstract: A needle-suture combination includes a needle having a first needle end and a second needle end opposite to the first needle end, and a suture connected to the needle between the first needle end and the second needle end. Each of the first needle end and the second needle end includes a needle point and a locking groove to receive a locking element of a needle holder. The first needle end and the second needle end each include a needle end stop surface between the groove and the needle point, where the needle end stop surface is arranged to cooperate with a needle channel stop surface of a needle channel of a needle holder.

  • Publication number: 20200054864
Abstract: A guide wire-catheter assembly includes a catheter tube having a longitudinal channel, and a guide wire configured to be movable in the longitudinal channel. The catheter tube includes a bendable part near its distal end. The bendable part includes, in the circumferential direction of the catheter tube, a varying flexibility, such that exerting a longitudinal compression force in a proximal direction at a compression location distally of the distal end part results in bending of the bendable part. The guide wire includes an expandable part, where the expandable part is movable between a non-expanded position, in which a cross section of the expandable part is smaller than a smallest cross section of the longitudinal channel of the catheter tube and an expanded position. When the expandable part is in the non-expanded position, the guide wire can be moved completely in and out of the longitudinal channel of the catheter tube.

  • Patent number: 10085741
Abstract: A surgical suture apparatus for open and/or endoscopic surgery is configured to pass a double-ended surgical needle backwards and forwards between a first jaw element and a second jaw element, the jaw elements each including a holding device to hold a respective needle end of the surgical needle, wherein the first and/or second jaw element are biased to an open position with a first biasing force. The apparatus further includes an operating device to operate the first and second holding devices, wherein the operating device includes a first operating organ biased in the normal position by one or more second spring elements with a second biasing force, wherein the first biasing force is smaller than the second biasing force such that exerting an actuation force on the first operating organ first results in movement of the first and second jaw element towards each other, and subsequently in actuation of the operating device.

  • Patent number: 9931113
Abstract: A needle-suture combination includes a surgical needle having two ends and a suture connection location arranged between the two ends; a suture; and a connection part. A first end of the connection part is connected to the needle at the suture connection location and an opposite second end of the connection part is connected to the suture. The connection part includes a connection part cross section area and the suture includes a suture cross section area. The connection part cross section area is smaller than the suture cross section area.
