  • Patent number: 11193728
Abstract: The present invention relates to abrasion resistance of bowstring fibers with a coating containing Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) particles to increases string life. The claimed coating lowers the coefficient of friction of the bowstring reducing internal yarn on yarn abrasion, external abrasion and increases longevity.

  • Publication number: 20070135733
Abstract: The invention includes an assembly having a handle for articulating an articulator in an ergonomically improved manner. The handle can be adapted to articulate a distal portion of the articulator when squeezed. The handle can have at least one accessible attachment mechanism useful for reattachably attaching the articulator and the handle during a medical procedure. The invention also includes methods of making and using such a handle.

  • Publication number: 20060084493
Abstract: A gaming device with a scatter pay formed by enabling a player to pick a plurality of symbol display areas. The symbols generated to be displayed in the picked symbol display areas of the scatter pay are evaluated by the gaming device for a winning combination. In one embodiment, whether an award is associated with a combination of symbols generated in the picked symbol display areas of the scatter pay is based on a separate scatter pay paytable. In one embodiment, the player is enabled to pick a predetermined number of symbol display areas upon the generation of a triggering symbol. Alternatively, the player is enabled to pick the symbol display areas to be included in a scatter pay based on making a wager of a predetermined amount.

  • Publication number: 20050053555
Abstract: Appetite control compositions comprise Gymnema sylvestre and an expectorant. In some embodiments, the appetite control compositions contain from about 3 mg to about 50 mg of gymnemic acid (an extract of Gymnema sylvestre), from about 10 mg to about 80 mg of glycyrrhizin (an extract of Glycyrrhiza glabra), high impact flavor, and a sweetening agent in a non-traditional dosage form. A non-traditional dosage form provides for the topical application of medicaments to the tissues of the mouth and tongue, more specifically, to the sweetness taste receptors of the tongue. By delivering gymnemic acid to the sweetness receptors of the tongue, the sensation of sweetness is blocked, thereby providing appetite control.

  • Patent number: 6254099
Abstract: A war simulation card game, played by two players alternating turns, upon a game surface having two player sides, using two decks of cards—one associated with each player. Each player side has a weapon zone, an available resource pile and a depleted resource pile. The cards include weapons cards and resource cards. Cards are drawn from the deck into each player's hand—several initially and then one at the start of each turn. One resource card may be placed in the available resource pile per turn. The weapon cards each have resource requirements, attack specifications, and defense specifications. The player may take one of the weapon cards out of his hand and place it in the weapon zone if sufficient resources are present in the available resource pile to meet the resource requirements of that weapons card. The resources thus used are moved to the depleted resource pile.
