Publication number: 20240073022Abstract: A method includes an authorizing entity computer receiving a request for a virtual access credential from a communication device operated by a user. The authorizing entity computer can then transmit the virtual access credential to the communication device operated by the user. The authorizing entity computer can then receive an authorization request message comprising the virtual access credential from an access device associated with a resource provider for an interaction between the user and the resource provider. The authorizing entity computer can then determine an account identifier linked to the virtual access credential. The account identifier being associated with an account maintained by an external entity computer that is external to the authorizing entity computer. The authorizing entity computer can then determine that the interaction is authorized based upon determining the account identifier associated with the virtual access credential.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 7, 2023Publication date: February 29, 2024Applicant: VISA INTERNATIONAL SERVICE ASSOCIATONInventors: Gilles Verstraeten, Pedro Sousa, Mark Pettit, Prarthana Mitra

Publication number: 20130198072Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a portable business operations system having a multi-function device, a network interface and a user interface. Broadly, the multi-function device parses the content of one or more filled in application forms and verifies the completeness or accuracy of the forms. The network interface provides connectivity and communication between the portable system and one or more remotely located systems. Moreover, the user interface sends or receives electronic documents to and from one or more remotely located systems.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 27, 2012Publication date: August 1, 2013Inventors: Nischal M. Piratla, Mark Pettit, Kovendhan Ponnavaikko, Meera Sampath, Herald Saldanha, Tarun Goswami

Patent number: 6746087Abstract: A control system which allows electro-pneumatic control of an equalizing reservoir with the capacity to create penalty applications in a purely pneumatic manner. A controller for the equalizing reservoir includes an electro-pneumatic source of pressure or atmosphere responsive to an electrical equalizing pressure control signal and a pilot valve selectively connecting the electro-pneumatic source or atmosphere to the equalizing reservoir in response to pressure in a pilot port of the first pilot valve. A magnetic valve is provided having a first input connected to a second source of pressure, a second input connected to atmosphere and an output connected to the pilot port of the first pilot valve. At least one penalty valve is connected to the pilot input of the first pilot valve and is responsive to a penalty signal to connect the pilot input to atmosphere. The pilot valve and the penalty valve pneumatically produce a brake application regardless of the state of the magnetic valve or its controller.Type: GrantFiled: May 14, 2003Date of Patent: June 8, 2004Assignee: New York Air Brake CorporationInventors: John M. Reynolds, D. Mark Pettit

Patent number: 6135574Abstract: A modular locomotive brake control unit having a manifold with electropneumatic modules each including electropneumatic and pneumatic elements removably mounted thereon each as a unit from the manifold. An electropneumatic equalization reservoir module controls the pressure at the equalization port. A brake pipe module controls brake pipe port pressure in response to the equalization reservoir port. An electropneumatic independent brake module controls pressure at the independent brake port as a locomotive brake signal. An electropneumatic brake signal module provides a pneumatic train brake signal. A controller controls the electropneumatic modules. Each electropneumatic unit includes an electropneumatic supply valve and an electropneumatic exhaust valve and preferably an electropneumatic valve having a first input connected to the supply and exhaust valves.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 1999Date of Patent: October 24, 2000Assignee: New York Air Brake CorporationInventors: D. Mark Pettit, John J. Allen, Ronald O. Newton, Brett A. Pierce, Kevin D. Root, Richard E. Sinn, Eric C. Wright
