  • Patent number: 8844754
Abstract: A fuel tank made of plastic, in the interior of which an insert (2) is located, wherein the insert should enclose a space (3), wherein the fuel tank should offer the greatest possible economy of space, and the fuel tank and the insert should have a simple form. For this purpose, a box made of plastic and open at the top is attached to the inside of the upper wall (1) of the fuel tank as an insert (2), wherein the box forms a closed space (3) together with the wall (1) of the tank, wherein the insert (2) comprises a bottom (5) and side walls (6, 7, 8, 9), the upper edges of which are connected in a bonded manner to the wall (1) of the tank. The insert (2) contains inner parts (20-26) that are integral therewith and has at least one fitting (13-16) on the side walls (6, 7, 8, 9) for connecting a pipe line.

  • Patent number: 8556110
Abstract: A fuel tank that is composed of plastic and that has installations. In order to functionally improve the fuel tank and to simplify the manufacturing, a shaped piece (15) is attached to the inside of the wall (1) of the fuel tank and connected to the fuel tank in a bonded manner. The shaped piece (15) is a flat component that has an open three-dimensional shape and forms at least one channel (17) and/or tank together with the plastic shell (1). The shaped piece (15) is welded all around to the plastic shell (1), wherein a welding flange (20) forming a closed curve follows the contour of the channel (17). The shaped piece (15) has at least one mouth part (16) that is open toward the tank interior and is integral with the shaped piece.

  • Patent number: 6422197
Abstract: An intake system 10 which can be used for cooling a battery in a motor vehicle. This intake system 10 has a raw air inlet 11, a raw air duct 12, a filter housing 13, a filter element 14, a clean air outlet 15, a clean air duct 16 and an intake air manifold 17. The filter element 14 is placed in the filter housing 13 such that the air which flows from the raw air inlet 11 through the raw air duct 12 into the filter housing 13, must pass through the filter element 14 before it reaches the clean air duct 16 to the intake air manifold 17. The filter element 14 also has a curvature by which it at least partially follows the contour of a battery box wall 18 of an adjacent battery box 19. The filter element 14 can be made curved or in multiple parts.
