  • Publication number: 20230370621
Abstract: An example non-transitory machine-readable medium includes instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to define a color encoding based on selected colors within a reference color space. The selected colors include white, black, and a set of chromatic colors spanning different print gamuts of a range of different printing devices. The instructions are further to encode a source datapoint of a source color space with the color encoding to obtain a reference datapoint of the reference color space by determining the reference datapoint as a mixture of white, black, and two colors selected from the set of chromatic colors, and output the reference datapoint.

  • Publication number: 20220366931
Abstract: An example method comprises identifying a plurality of zones of a spectrogram of an audio sample associated with an operation cycle of an imaging device, generating a set of audio models by transforming the audio sample to a power spectrum and identifying a plurality of audio features within the power spectrum and for the plurality of zones, generating a plurality of simulated audio samples using the set of audio models by adjusting an audio feature of the plurality of audio features, and outputting a set of training data including the audio sample and the plurality of simulated audio samples to train a predictive model indicative of a predicted failure of the imaging device.

  • Patent number: 11385586
Abstract: Examples of methods are described herein. In some examples, a method includes calculating a first cost function measure based on band defects in an image. In some examples, the method also includes calculating a second cost function measure based on the band defects and a synthetic band. In some examples, the method further includes detecting a missing band based on a comparison of the first cost function measure and the second cost function measure.

  • Publication number: 20210327047
Abstract: An example of an apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a communication interface to receive an image of output from a printing device. The apparatus further includes a memory storage unit connected to the communication interface. The memory storage unit is to store the image of the output. The apparatus also includes a preprocessing engine to process the image. In addition, the apparatus includes a selective search engine to define a search area within the image. The selective search engine defines the search area of the image based on a local defect of unknown size. Furthermore, the apparatus includes a classification engine in communication with the selective search engine. The classification engine is to classify the search area for identification of the local defect.

  • Publication number: 20150334422
Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for video stream compression. A motion predicted frame and a current frame of video data are converted from a source color space to a perceptual color space. A delta (?) frame is calculated between the current frame and the motion predicted frame. Input color difference values between the current frame and the motion predicted frame are determined and mapped to a normalized output to create a tone mapped color difference image. The tone mapped color difference image and ? frame are multiplied to obtain a weighted ? frame. ? loss is calculated as the difference between the weighted ? frame and the ? frame. A variance map of the motion predicted frame is multiplied by the ? loss to obtain a ? preservation map. The weighted ? frame and ? preservation map are summed to obtain a modified ? frame which may be transformed, quantized and encoded.
