  • Patent number: 8517482
Abstract: A friction controlled mechanism for use on a cabinet assembly is provided. The cabinet assembly includes a stationary structure such as a cabinet, a moveable structure such as a drawer that is moveable in relation to the stationary structure and the friction controlled mechanism. The friction controlled mechanism is attached to each side of the moveable structure. The friction controlled mechanism includes a frame member with a length and a friction based flexible member. The flexible member is wrapped around a perimeter of the frame member such that the flexible member is capable of traveling in opposite directions around the perimeter of the frame member during movement of the moveable structure toward and away from the stationary structure. The flexible member imparts a friction to side rails of both the stationary structure and the moveable structure to provide a controlled stable movement of the moveable structure.

  • Publication number: 20130081435
Abstract: A multi state lock system configured to be mounted to a door of an enclosure is provided that includes a three position cam lock assembly rotatable between a first position, a second position, and a third position. The system further includes a locking rod cam, multiple locking rods attached to the locking rod cam, a locking rod limiter cam and a handle rotatable between a handle unlocked position and a handle locked position. When the cam lock is in the first position, the lock system is in an unlocked state, when the cam lock is in the second position, the lock system is in a neutral state, and when the cam lock is in the third position, the lock system is in a locked state.

  • Publication number: 20120240381
Abstract: A system that facilitates an interlocked joint without the need for a locking pin is provided. The system includes a first member having multiple first fingers extending in an outward direction from a side of the first member and multiple first openings defined between each of the first fingers. The system further includes a second member having multiple second fingers extending in an outward direction from a side of the second member and multiple second openings defined between each of the second fingers. When the first member mates with the second member the first fingers are aligned with and engage the second openings and the second fingers are aligned with and engage the first openings such that the first member and the second member are interlocked and inseparable in a tensile direction.

  • Publication number: 20120224796
Abstract: A friction controlled mechanism configured to operate in conjunction with an assembly having a moveable structure and a stationary structure. The mechanism includes a frame member having a length and a friction based flexible member slidably wrapped around a perimeter of the frame member such that the flexible member travels in opposite directions around the perimeter of the frame member during movement of the moveable structure toward and away from the stationary structure. The flexible member imparts a friction to side rails of the stationary structure and to side rails of the moveable structure to provide a controlled stable movement of the moveable structure.

  • Patent number: 5526949
Abstract: A jar, preferably for a domestic blender, is provided with an external thread at a lower end for engaging with an internally threaded base member. The threads have a varying radial position along the axial length of the threaded area to assist in the assembly of the two parts and to prevent cross threading. In the disclosed embodiment, the jar has a frusto-conically shaped lower portion on which a constant height thread is formed. The base member has a cylindrical wall with a thread having a varying radial height to complement the position of the jar thread.

  • Patent number: 5027851
Abstract: A spout assembly for a hot water dispenser having a valve body including an outlet and a sealed valve assembly for controlling liquid flow within the valve body. A liquid conduit is connected to the outlet. A spout cover is removably disposed over the valve body and the liquid conduit such that the spout cover may be removed from the valve body without disturbing the seal of the valve assembly.
