Abstract: Methods for seeding live cells onto spatially defined regions of a substrate including multiple features (e.g., microwells or other microenvironments) utilize a stencil embodied in a hole-defining sacrificial film. A sacrificial film devoid of holes may be applied over features of a substrate, and a hole generating mechanism (e.g., hot needle or laser) aligned with features may be used to define holes in the film. Alternatively, holes may be predefined in a sacrificial film to form a stencil, and the stencil may be assembled to the substrate with the holes registered with features thereof. Thereafter, cells are seeded through holes in the film. Seeded cells are subject to incubation, further processing, and/or performance of one or more assays, and the hole-defining sacrificial film (stencil) may be removed.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for storing documents in a centralized database system based on geographical data localization includes receiving, by a database manager, a request to update a document according to a data localization criterion, the document stored in a local storage device of the centralized database system. The method further includes determining, by the database manager, a geographical location for a local copy of the document based on an attribute of the document matching the localization criterion. The method further includes creating, by the database manager, a remote copy of the document on a storage device that is physically located in the geographical location. The method further includes modifying, by the database manager, the local copy of the document to include a location information of the remote copy.

Abstract: A pressure compensation member, an irrigation drip emitter, drip lines and methods relating to same, are provided for delivering irrigation water from a supply tube to an emitter outlet at a reduced and relatively constant flow rate. The pressure compensation member being suitable for use in conventional emitters or alternate emitters being provided having either a uniform elastomeric emitter body configuration or a poly-material emitter body utilizing an elastomeric pressure compensation member. Various methods are also disclosed herein relating to the pressure compensation member, emitters and/or drip line using such pressure compensating members and/or emitters.

Abstract: Examples for efficiently representing, processing and deciding amongst multiple ambiguous interpretations of human natural language text are described. Processing includes creating and augmenting an “interpretation graph” which represents all known ambiguous interpretations of some natural language text. The interpretation graph is made of vertices (junction points which lead to alternative interpretations) and ‘lexical items’ (natural language objects representing data blocks, tokens, word parts, phrases, clauses, parts of speech, entities, or semantic interpretations) that represent alternative ambiguous interpretations of portions of the text. The examples show a set of simple operations for augmenting the interpretation graph to create alternative interpretations.

The system may further retrieve flight data associated with the flight from the learning management system and determine a training concept associated with the flight. The system may also select a training exercise from multiple training exercises, where the training exercise is associated with the training concept. A notification may be sent to an electronic device associated with the pilot, where the notification includes an offer to perform the training exercise.

Abstract: Electronics with a DCC adaptive filter for attenuating noise in a feedback path of a flow controller are provided. The electronics include a signal processor configured to receive a flow signal from a flow sensor, the flow sensor is configured to measure a flow rate of a pulsating fluid flow, receive a constant reference signal, and generate a flow rate signal using the constant reference signal and the flow signal. The electronics also include a controller communicatively coupled to the signal processor, which is configured to generate a flow rate control signal using the flow rate signal. The electronics additionally include a signal generator communicatively coupled to the controller. The signal generator is configured to receive the flow rate control signal, generate a valve signal based on the flow rate control signal, and provide the valve signal to a valve to control the flow rate of the pulsating flow.

The source slice delivers an internet-access service to the UE using a Quality-of-Service level and access restrictions. The UE detects a handover trigger and exchanges handover signaling with the source network slice. A hardware-trust controller verifies a hardware identification code embedded in the UE responsive to the handover signaling. A distributed ledger generates a slice template to implement the QoS and access restrictions for the UE in the target network slice in response to the handover signaling and the hardware-trust verification. The signaling circuitry transfers the slice template to the target slice. The target slice delivers internet-access service to the UE using the QoS and the restrictions in response to the slice template.
