  • Patent number: 11039359
Abstract: A wireless network control system facilitates a handover of User Equipment (UE) from a source network slice to a target network slice. The source slice delivers an internet-access service to the UE using a Quality-of-Service level and access restrictions. The UE detects a handover trigger and exchanges handover signaling with the source network slice. A hardware-trust controller verifies a hardware identification code embedded in the UE responsive to the handover signaling. A distributed ledger generates a slice template to implement the QoS and access restrictions for the UE in the target network slice in response to the handover signaling and the hardware-trust verification. The signaling circuitry transfers the slice template to the target slice. The target slice delivers internet-access service to the UE using the QoS and the restrictions in response to the slice template.

  • Publication number: 20210157687
Abstract: Aspects of the invention include a persistent memory file system within recoverable application memory within volatile memory. A non-limiting example computer-implemented method includes designating, by a processor, a portion of the system memory as recoverable application memory and establishing, by the processor, a portion of the recoverable application memory as a heap-backed memory file system. The computer-implemented method remounts, by the processor, the heap-backed memory file system following an initial program load. This heap-backed memory file system is available for general application use and for use as an internal caching mechanism for other cluster consistent file systems.

  • Publication number: 20210110470
Abstract: A computer implemented method and system for providing financial services are described. The system and method include determining an account balance for a financial account. If the account balance is negative, notice of the negative balance is sent to the account holder in real time. After a predetermined period of time or grace period, and/or by a predetermined end time or cut-off date or time, it is determined whether the negative balance was cured. If the negative balance was not cured during the grace period, an overdraft fee is assessed to the financial account. If the negative balance was cured during the grace period, any assessed overdraft fee for the negative balance is rebated or reversed.
