    Abstract: A decoding facility for decoding signal samples characterizing symbols forming a particular pattern. The decoding facility, more particularly, forms the signal samples into groups and each group is decoded into a known symbol. This is done by matching a group of samples with each of a plurality of known symbols and selecting and outputting as the decoded symbol that one of the known symbols that is the closest match to the group of signals being processed.
