  • Patent number: 12125253
Abstract: A method for creating a composite image includes receiving a group of images indexed according to a time-consecutive capture sequence. Each image is evaluated for inclusion in the composite image, and the evaluation of each image entails determining whether a spatial footprint of the image is entirely internal to a polygon formed based on a union of spatial footprints corresponding to images positioned on a same side of the image within the time-consecutive capture sequence. If the spatial footprint of the image is not entirely internal to the polygon, an identifier for the image is added to a composite image array. Otherwise, the identifier for the image is excluded from the composite image array. After all images have been evaluated, the composite image is created by stitching together images with respective identifiers included in the composite image array.

  • Publication number: 20240336495
Abstract: The present invention provides simple methods for treating aqueous chelating agent compositions containing one or more nitrilotriacetic acid (NTA) salts with one or more adsorbents, such as activated carbon, two or more activated carbon adsorbent in sequential treatments, to remove the NTA without removing more than 5 wt. %, or more than 3 wt. % or, preferably, more than 1 wt. % of the chelating agent in the aqueous chelating agent compositions. The methods comprise treating aqueous chelating agent compositions having a pH of from 7 to 12 and can be carried out at from 10 to 110 C. The methods can be used to treat a wide range of aqueous chelating agent compositions having, for example, from 700 to 6000 ppm of NTA, such as waste streams.

  • Patent number: 12109853
Abstract: An apparatus for monitoring the condition of a pneumatic tyre including a pressure sensor(s) to measure an internal pressure within the tyre. A speed sensor(s) measures a rotational speed of the tyre. A controller is configured to receive data from the pressure sensor and the speed sensor and output indications related to a condition of the tyre. The controller determines the output indications by tracking the internal pressure with respect to time during use of the tyre, identifying at least one change in internal tyre pressure in a time interval. The time interval is between a first reference time and a second reference time, the reference times corresponding to points at which the speed sensor indicates different rotational speeds of the tyre. The controller further monitors the pressure change as a function of rotational speed of the tyre to provide an indicator of tyre condition.

  • Patent number: 12020823
Abstract: An Integrated Virtual Patient Framework (IVPF) for providing decision support that evolves with increasing data collected on a given patient. Support decisions for patients with limited data is made using statistical prediction tools derived from historical trajectories of similar patients. As patient histories grow, decision support is provided by mathematical models that constrain the possible dynamics of the patient to more detailed predictive models. Weights for each model are assigned depending on uncertainties arising from data fitting and model properties. As new data are entered into a patient record, the models are recalibrated and the weights are adjusted, leading to updated decision support information. The framework also suggests the benefit of additional follow-up data collection events, optimizing the data collection as well as how the IVPF generates predictions. The framework also may present scenarios to patients in a way that informs them of treatment outcomes, given various strategies.

  • Publication number: 20230242826
Abstract: Apparatus and methods to eliminate PFAS from wastewater biosolids through fluidized bed gasification. The gasifier decomposes the PFAS in the biosolids at temperatures of 900-1800° F. Syngas exits the gasifier which is coupled to a thermal oxidizer and combusts at temperatures of 1600-2600° F. This decomposes PFAS in the syngas and creates flue gas. Heat is recovered from the flue gas by cooling the flue gas to temperatures of 400-1200° F. in a heat exchanger coupled with the thermal oxidizer. Various methods inject moisture into the gas stream, controlling temperature through evaporative cooling and/or injecting chemicals that react with gas stream components. Cooled flue gas mixes with hydrated lime capturing decomposed PFAS molecules with spent lime filtered from the cooled flue gas using a filter system that may incorporate catalyst impregnated filter elements, eliminating PFAS from wastewater biosolids and controlling emissions in the resulting flue gas.

  • Publication number: 20230018201
Abstract: A system and method for effectuating fast channel change in an adaptive streaming environment. A plurality of adjacent channels may be predicted relative to a current streaming channel engaged by a client device. Upon prioritizing the adjacent channels, the client device may be configured to pre-fetch metadata and initialization information for a subset of the prioritized adjacent channels based on bandwidth conditions, video player buffer status, etc. When a channel is changed, the client device is operative to use the pre-fetched data to quickly obtain encoded media content at a select bitrate for rendering.
