  • Patent number: 11957565
Abstract: A composite scaffold having a highly porous interior with increased surface area and void volume is surrounded by a flexible support structure that substantially maintains its three-dimensional shape under tension and provides mechanical reinforcement during repair or reconstruction of soft tissue while simultaneously facilitating regeneration of functional tissue.

  • Patent number: 6723820
Abstract: Solvent based poly(urethane/urea) resins suitable for formulating flexographic and gravure laminating printing ink and coating compositions formed from a poly(urethane) prepolymer solution made from a blend of polymeric diols and diols reacted with diisocyanates and then with diamine in an organic solvent. The resin is prepared by adding the poly(urethane) prepolymer solution at a controlled rate to the diamine in a organic solvent which allows a resin solution to be formed, which may be used in the formulation of laminating printing ink and coating compositions without the need for adjuvants, grinding in polyvinyl butyral or blending with nitrocellulose base.

  • Publication number: 20010035425
Abstract: A vending machine, within which are placed a number of handheld electronic communications devices, such as but not limited to cellular telephones, pages and similar devices which may be invented in the future, said machines being placed in various locations and available to the general public, who will, upon paying a predetermined amount of legal tender or use of personal credit (cards), be delivered of the handheld electronic communication device by the vending machine, independently of any human intervention.

  • Patent number: 6181770
Abstract: An X-ray source interlock kit includes a probe-based portion integral with an X-ray source in communication with a peripheral-based portion, the interlock kit serving as an interface between an X-ray treatment system and a given class of peripheral devices. Peripheral devices are classified based on their shielding characteristics and whether or not radiation is permitted with the device, and include, for example, a stereotactic frame, a probe adjuster, and a photodiode array. The probe-based portion includes a probe side bushing having two optical source-detector pairs housed therein and interlock electronics, which accomplish signal processing as required. The peripheral-based portion is the form of a peripheral side bushing which is coded with the shielding and radiation information for a given class of peripheral devices.

  • Patent number: 6063226
Abstract: A file folder has a pocket disposed on one of its surfaces. The edges of the pocket and the file folder are in sheared alignment with each other. A method for manufacturing a file folder having a pocket is disclosed. Adhesive is deposited along several edges of a first web of material which is pressed to a second web of material to join the webs together by the adhesive. The combined materials are cut along one of the edges of adhesive to form a sheet having a pocket. The first and second webs have side edges which are in sheared alignment.
