    Abstract: An orthodontic retainer device for maintaining the position of teeth is disclosed. It includes a first bracket that is attachable to a first tooth and a second bracket that is attachable to a second tooth. The retainer device also includes a bar member that has a first bracket connection point that may be attached to the first bracket and a second bracket connection point that may be attached to the second bracket. The second bracket connection point may be removed from the second bracket, and the bar member may hinge around the first bracket connection point.
