Abstract: An anchor assembly structured for use in connection with ceiling or roofing structures for hanging industrial or commercial components, such as, for example, electrical conduits, heating units, water pipes for automatic water sprinkler systems, and the like. The anchor assembly is easy and quick to install, and also provides enhanced swivel capabilities or angular ranges of movement so as to accommodate various system and spatial requirements in connection with the suspension of the components. Suspension and lateral restraint systems are also disclosed.

Abstract: Guided discovery of content in a device. A device such as a satellite radio can received multiple data streams at least over networks including a satellite network or other wireless networks. The device includes filters that are based on the history of the device, the advertising history of the device, or on lists obtained from other devices. The data streams available to the device are filtered using the filters to discover content in the data streams. Content, including metadata or a portion of the content itself, discovered by the results of the filters can be stored at the device. The device notifies the user of the discovered content. The filters guide the discovery of content that may be of interest to the user of the device.

Abstract: Low molecular weight (LMW) peptides have been discovered that are indicative of neurological conditions, such as Alzheimer's Disease (AD), cognitive impairment and brain microhemmorhages. Evaluating patient samples for the presence of such LMW peptides is an effective means of detecting neurological conditions and monitoring the progression of the disease. The LMW peptides are particularly useful in detecting neurological conditions during the early stages without invasive procedures.

Abstract: A charge module adapter for a power distribution system comprising an electric device, a rechargeable battery and an adapter module, wherein the adapter module is functionally interposed between the electric device and the battery, the adapter module being in electrical communication with the electric device and the battery, wherein the adapter module is configured to selectively distribute supplied power to the electric device and the battery, and wherein the adapter module determines the operating parameters of both the electric device and the battery, and operates to selectively provide power to the electric device and the battery in dependence upon the determined operating parameters.

Abstract: The teleprompter described herein allows for rapid adjustment of the camera position and height, beam splitter mirror assembly height and angle, tripod mounting, as well as additional accessories including counter weights, shoulder pads, batteries and feedback monitors. Further, these adjustments do not require the use of tools. Additionally, the invention described herein provides a second, lower plane of contact for camera mounting which allows for the use of heavier cameras.

Abstract: A unique display device called a “Legacy Board”. The device is used in remembering and memorializing the lives of loved ones. The device is related to apparatus and methods to hold a collection of family pictures, documents, artwork and other memorabilia and is used to showcase occasions such as births, baptisms, birthdays, graduations, engagements, reunions, weddings, anniversaries, death and memorials. The device is comprised of a base foam backboard; a predetermined placement template on the backboard with which to place the family collection onto the board; a means to removably attach the collection objects to the board; and a group of pre-cut openings, that correspond and match the placement template in order to reveal the items of the collection, through one or more sheets of flexible, thin and transparent or translucent material which feature stylish artwork images with/without text. The device may be framed or unframed.

Signs (31-39, 41-49) adjacent each hoistway are illuminated to display the designation of any call which is being answered by an elevator car approaching the floor Thus, passengers are informed when their call is being answered by the signs identifying the call, rather than identifying any particular car. Another embodiment identifies (60, 31a, 41a) the hoistway landing doorway (1, 2) as well as a letter to allow passengers to wait adjacent to the hoistway landing doorway of the car which will serve them.

According to such determinations, separation information (INF—1 and INF—2) can be generated indicating which clock signal (CLK1 or CLK2) is faster. Selection logic (106) can select a faster of the clock signals (CLK1 or CLK2) if the separation information values confirm one another.

The method may be practiced, for example, in a system including the portable media device that receives content from one or more media content providers. The method can include identifying a first data format employed by the portable media device and a second data format employed by a selected media content provider. A data stream is received from the selected media content provider. The data received from the selected media content provider can be modified to be compatible with the first data format. Alternately or additionally, the data stream can be filtered to eliminate content that is unnecessary for the portable media device. The method further includes communicating the formatted data to the portable media device.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for verifying the integrity of an index or result produced by a content-addressable or associated memory or other device. A pre-computed data protection field is stored, either as part of a returned index of a content-addressable memory or in a separate storage. In one implementation, a data protection operation is performed on all or part of the returned index and a comparison is made with a pre-computed data protection field. In one implementation, a copy of the masks employed by a ternary content-addressable memory and a set of pre-computed data protection fields are stored. A particular mask and pre-computed data protection field are selected based on the generated index. The original input value is then masked by the selected mask and provided to a data protection function. The result of this function is then compared to the selected pre-computed data protection field.

The content can be searched using other rules related to user preferences. Based on the results of the examination of the content, playlists are generated. Using the playlists, a user can load content from their device that has a theme consistent with a particular channel. The playlists can also be used to tune to the channels associated with the playlists and thereby discover the content on those channels.

Abstract: A personal media device transmits media content to one or more nearby personal media devices so that users can dynamically and easily share content. The method includes, on a first media player device having or having access to selected media content, playing the selected media content such that it can be listened to on a first user's headphones. The selected media content is also transmitted such that it can be received and simultaneously played by one or more authorized media player devices associated with additional users. The transmitted content is preferable secure so that only authorized users can access it. The media player devices receiving the transmitted content can be wireless headsets configured to receive and simultaneously play the content.
