  • Patent number: 9279437
Abstract: An adjustable holding device for sensors includes a main body, on and opposite of which, a bearing body supporting a sensor is adjustably held by a spherical joint. The spherical joint includes a threaded stud, fastened to the main body, that protrudes through an opening in the bearing body, and to which an opening in a body having a spherical outer surface is screwed. The outer surface is held pivotably in and co-rotatably with, about an axis coaxial with the threaded stud, complementarily spherical inner surfaces of two combined half-shells. Through rotation under external force of the combined half-shells, the body having the spherical outer surface can be screwed relative to the threaded stud by displacing the half-shells and the bearing body in the threaded stud direction.

  • Patent number: 9156354
Abstract: A driver assistance system for a vehicle is provided. The driver assistance system includes a detecting device, which is designed to detect driving data that characterize the driving state of the vehicle, and a controller, which is designed to process the driving data detected by the detecting device and, if predetermined driving data are present, trigger a braking device to perform autonomous braking of the vehicle. The controller is also designed such that if driving data that indicate an imminent collision with an obstacle are detected, the function of the detecting device is monitored. If the detecting device no longer provides any driving data or plausible driving data to the controller, a continuation of the autonomous braking is triggered, at least until the vehicle has been decelerated to a specified speed.

Abstract: An adjustable holding device for sensors, including a main body, on and opposite which a bearing body supporting the at least one sensor is adjustably held by at least one spherical joint having a threaded stud fastened to the main body and protruding through a through-opening in the bearing body and to which an opening in a body having a spherical outer surface is screwed, said outer surface being held pivotably in complementarily spherical inner surfaces of two combined half-shells, and held co-rotatably together with the half-shells about an axis of rotation which is coaxial with the threaded stud and about which the half-shells are accommodated rotatably in the through-opening in the bearing body so that, by a rotation under external force of the at least rotationally coupled half-shells as to the through-opening, the body having the spherical outer surface can be screwed relative to the threaded stud by displacing the half-shells and the bearing body in the direction of the threaded stud.

  • Patent number: 7895337
Abstract: Systems and methods for generation of a content aware internet application interface including multiple content regions. A primary region populated by content including a content parameter for use in selecting, retrieving or configuring content of a secondary region. The secondary region content being selected, retrieved or configured responsive to the data found in the primary region content. The internet application interface is generated using a content manager configure to manage processing of the primary region content and selection or configuration of the second region content accordingly. In various embodiments the internet application interface is configured to access a internet application through a browser.

  • Patent number: 6668912
Abstract: The specification and drawings describe and show an embodiment of and method of forming a liquid flow through heat exchanger structure cast in a metal matrix composite. The composite comprises a preform reinforcement material infiltrated with molten metal. The composite reinforcement material is injection molded around the heat exchanger structure allowing for intimate contact between the composite and structure. The composite formed has a specific coefficient of thermal expansion to match an active heat-generating device mounted thereon. The present invention allows for enhanced thermal and mechanical properties by eliminating voids or gaps at the composite to heat exchanger structure interface, these voids or gaps being present in prior art fabrication methods or induced by usage due to thermal cycling of prior art composites.
