  • Patent number: 11972680
Abstract: Table top sanitizer dispenser bottle bases are disclosed herein. An exemplary table top sanitizer dispenser bottle base includes a movable upper housing, the upper moveable housing has a floor with an aperture located therein and a peripheral wall. The top sanitizer dispenser bottle includes a lower stationary housing. The upper movable housing is connected to the lower stationary housing and is configured to move linearly upward and downward with respect to lower stationary. One or more biasing members bias the upper movable housing upward. A switch is included and the upper movable housing has an engagement member or surface for actuating the switch upon downward movement of the upper movable housing. At least one of a visual indicator and an audible indicator are also included. Control circuitry is provided for activating the one or more of a visual indicator and audible indicator when the engagement member actuates the switch.

  • Patent number: 11911736
Abstract: An exemplary compounding method of controlling a compounding device to prepare an admixture of at least two distinct material sources can include examining material source solutions for incompatibility of the ingredients and operating a first and a second pump to prevent one of the incompatible source solutions from entering a common flow path. The processing method can detect degradation of a fluid line by evaluating one or more of calibration error rate data, cumulative volumetric flow data, or cumulative pump operation data. The processing method can also selectively transfer a first group of source solutions using the first pump, receiving pump data from one or more sensors that sense actions of the pumps, applying fluid correction factors and calculating discrete pump movements, the pump movements being indicative of an amount of source solution displacement by a pump, and operating the pumps to selectively dispense the source solution amounts according to a preparation order.

  • Patent number: 8072217
Abstract: According to one aspect, a magnetic resonance (NMR or MRI) phantom includes a spherical or quasi-spherical casing enclosing an internal chamber, and an internal phantom structure situated within the internal chamber. The casing includes alignment features allowing the sequential alignment/orientation of the phantom along three orthogonal axes. In some embodiments, the casing is shaped as a quasi-spherical intercyl having an outer surface defined by the intersection of three orthogonal cylinders. In some embodiments, the casing may be shaped as a sphere having orthogonal registration holes or channels sized to accommodate a corresponding protrusion or ridge in a phantom holder; the casing may also include protrusions or ridges sized to fit into a matching hole or channel defined in a holder. One or more internal phantom plates may include air bubble transfer apertures allowing air bubbles to flow between opposite sides of a plate as a liquid-filled phantom is rotated.

  • Patent number: 7904884
Abstract: A method of data processing that converts a set of restricted terms, which is considered prohibited for use in source files, into an encrypted form, which prevents unauthorized users from reading the set of restricted terms. Further, the terms from a selected source file are encrypted with the same algorithm that was used on the set of prohibited terms. Then, a determination is made if the selected source file has one or more of the encrypted, restricted terms. In response to determining that the selected source file has one or more of the encrypted, restricted terms, an indication is given that the selected source file has one or more of the encrypted, restricted terms.

  • Patent number: 7093246
Abstract: These and other objectives are attained with a method and system for updating software applications or systems on a target client. The method comprises the steps of providing the target client with an update manager; and using the update manager to initiate a procedure to compare the level of software or services on the target client with the level of software or services available on a specified server to determine if an update is available on the server for the software or services on the target client. If an update is available, the update is copied from the server to the target client. Preferably, the update manager registers with the server manager to have a specified one or more of the applications or systems updated. The preferred embodiment of the invention uses information that currently exists with the customer and vendor that can make the update process more automated.

  • Patent number: 5859968
Abstract: A data security device for a computer system controls the addition and removal of data using an external data drive. The computer system includes a microprocessor, memory, internal data storage, a power supply, and an external data drive. An access controller is coupled between the power supply and the external data drive. The access controller selectively makes or breaks an electrical connection between the power supply and the external data drive to prevent the addition or removal of data from the computer system using the external data drive. The access controller preferably includes a switch coupled to the power supply which has on and off states. A timer, coupled to the switch, generates a timing signal when the switch is in the off state for a first period. A switching device such as a relay or a transistor makes an electrical connection between the switch and the external data drive before the timing signal is received.

  • Patent number: 5799513
Abstract: A security device for personal water craft (PWC) includes a crossbar adapted to cooperate with a trailer component, a securing arm capable of coupling to the crossbar, and a lock mechanism for coupling the securing arm to the crossbar such that translational displacement of the securing arm relative to the crossbar is restricted in at least one direction. The security device couples a PWC to its trailer and prevents unauthorized removal of the PWC from the trailer.
