  • Patent number: 9672194
Abstract: A method of dynamically presenting temporally ordered image events includes providing a pre-determined presentation rate and a corresponding pre-determined presentation period; using a processor to receive at irregular intervals a plurality of temporally ordered image events at an average image event rate less than the presentation rate; storing the received image events in an ordered list corresponding to the order in which the image events were received; accessing, according to a pre-determined rule, stored image events from the ordered list; sequentially presenting the accessed image events for the presentation period; and interrupting the sequential presentation of the stored image events when a new image event is received and presenting the received new image event for the presentation period and resuming the sequential presentation of the accessed image events.

  • Patent number: 8761523
Abstract: A method for making a media collection associated with an event having an event location, includes receiving a specification of members in a group; using a processor to receive one or more media elements from each of a plurality of media-capture devices, each media element having a capture location; defining the event in response to receiving one or more media-capture-device signals having the event location from group members; and associating media elements having the event location received at the same time or after the event definition with a stored media event collection corresponding to the event for subsequent use.

  • Publication number: 20130181997
Abstract: A method of dynamically presenting temporally ordered image events includes providing a pre-determined presentation rate and a corresponding pre-determined presentation period; using a processor to receive at irregular intervals a plurality of temporally ordered image events at an average image event rate greater than the presentation rate; storing the received image events in an ordered list corresponding to the order in which the image events were received; accessing, according to a pre-determined rule based on the pre-determined presentation rate and image event rate, a subset of the stored image events from the ordered list; and sequentially presenting each of the accessed subset of image events in the order in which the image events were received for the presentation period.

  • Patent number: 7724285
Abstract: A device, system, method and software product for storing, maintaining, sharing and displaying of digital images in a common designated collection on at least one portable storage and display device. The device has a first memory section designated for storing images and a second memory section for storing digital images of the designated collection. The second memory section has a protected mode that prevents the digital images in the second memory section from being deleted or overwritten. When the protected mode of the second section is disabled, the device will overwrite the digital images of the second memory section with newly captured digital images. These digital images are restored to the second memory section when the digital display and storage device is in communication link with a database that has information for restoring overwritten digital images after newly obtained images in the second memory have been removed from the device.

  • Patent number: 7508425
Abstract: A device, system, method and software product for storing, maintaining, sharing and displaying of digital images in a common designated collection on at least one portable storage and display device. The device has a first memory section designated for storing images that are obtained by the digital device and a second memory section for storing digital images of the designated collection. The second memory section has a protected mode that prevents the digital images in the second memory section from being deleted or overwritten until the user of the digital display and storage device disables the protected mode. When the protected mode of the second section is disabled then the device will overwrite the digital images of the second memory section with the newly captured digital images.

  • Publication number: 20040201682
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a system, method, and software product for linking a digital photographic imaging service requester to a service provider selected from a plurality of different service providers. The system includes providing a services directory which includes entries for a plurality of services, each service associated with at least one of the plurality of different service providers. A requester selects a service that is to be applied respect to a digital image. The system automatically provides the requester with a list of one or more of the plurality of different service providers based on a criterion. The requester then selects one of the plurality of different service providers from the list. The user then submits a request for a desired service to the selected service provider and the provider provide the desired service.
