    Abstract: An improved recombinant DNA plasmid composed of a DNA vector and other DNA fragments containing the tryptophan operon from E. coli, the aroG gene from E. coli and the serA gene from E. coli is shown. The plasmid is transformed into a microorganism belonging to Escherichia coli, and the microorganisms are cultured in a medium and the L-tryptophan accumulated in the culture is recovered.
